Chapter 33: Her Aching Heart
Arianna's POV
I walked around in search of Laura, I had seen her running earlier and the flowers she had dropped on the ground. Her heels were laying in her hands as I wondered why that was.
She was fun to look at as it looked like she was running away and not wanting something to catch up to her.
I called her name but she didn't turn, then went back to my guests who I had a few minutes to talk with before they left.
"Arianna, what are you looking for?" I heard Granny say from behind and I turned.
"Laura, she's been away for too long, I wonder where she is" I said, giving a concerned look.
"She's not a kid, is she? Do you see Xavier around?" She asked.
"No"
"Then they must be together" she said but I found that absurd, they won't be, they surely weren't.
