"Are you still having doubts?" Landon asked me, getting me out of my trance.
I nodded gently although that wasn't it.
"You need me to pinch your cheeks before you believe what you saw?" He asked and I glared at him, if I told him to do that, he would overdo it.
I had actually told him that maybe that wasn't Laura and the makeup on her face was what made it look like her. But I knew I was deceiving myself but even myself doesn't want to get deceived by my words.
It was Laura, we both were sure of it. She was getting wedded weeks after she left us. That was nearly impossible.
Did the guy fall for her because of how pathetic her life had been or because of the life story she had exaggerated for him?
