Chapter 3 - Lucky Day?

Míng Yûzé pov.

As the sun struck against the curtains, I could hear the birds singing at the window, making me groan in annoyance and not wanting to wake up yet.

"Ruì, the sun was up now," Lì Mēi called from downstairs, making me roll on my bed and let out a frustrated sigh. "Ruì, breakfast was ready," Lì Mēi called again.

I sat up feeling sleepy and a bit annoyed, standing up as I went out of the bedroom and headed downstairs to see Lì Mēi there preparing her school bag.

"Why are you still wearing your pajamas? You should hurry now or you'll be late to school," Lì Mēi said, worried in her tone.

I just stared at her for a moment before raising one of my eyebrows in confusion.

"But my school starts at 2 in the afternoon," I said while she stared at me confused.

"What do you mean? Your school starts at 8 in the morning," Lì Mei said before chuckling as she walked toward me. "2 in the afternoon was my school schedule, you idiot; now hurry and take a quick bath," she said as she lightly pushed me toward the staircase.

I was confused at first before facepalming myself internally, clearly forgetting that this body is not my body, and that means the schedule and everything were all different.

I let out a sigh and went upstairs.

Well, I can easily go back to my bedroom since I already knew where it was located, and now it has decreased my frustration.

After taking a nice and quick shower, I dried myself with a soft towel while heading out of the bathroom. Now I feel so lazy to attend school, and now to think about it, how am I supposed to go to school if I don't even know where?

I groaned in annoyance as I slammed my forehead against the closet door. Just what did I do to deserve this kind of thing? I just wished to stay alive, but I didn't wish to wake up in someone else's body.

Letting out a heavy sigh as I shake my head and tried to calm myself before opening the closet, and there I saw the clothes. My eyes sparkled at the style as I chuckled to myself.

"This kid has a nice taste when it comes to fashion, not bad... not bad at all," I muttered to myself in satisfaction before grabbing some nice clothes.

Staring at the mirror as I turn around to see if the style suits me, and as expected, it looked perfectly fit on me. Anyway, this kid face is not that bad either, so I guess it lessens my worry going out.

Looking around the bedroom, I found the bag at the corner, picking it up and opening it only to smell something disgusting, making me almost puke.

"The heck, what's that smell?" I frowned while covering my nose with my arm as I peeked inside, and there I saw a molded sandwich and expired shake that spilled inside the bag.

I tossed it aside as I gagged a little bit because of the smell and the sight. "This kid was insane!" I muttered as I threw the bag at the bin and tied it to avoid spreading the unpleasant smell.

Sighing heavily and rubbing my temple as I tried to think of a bag that I could use, but there was nothing coming to mind. Well, I guess I should just head toward the school without carrying anything.

Grabbing the phone and ballpoint pen at the table before rushing downstairs since I only have 10 minutes before class starts, hoping that this kid school was nearby.

"Ruì, here's your ID," Lì Mēi suddenly appeared, making me almost trip, but luckily I balanced myself in time.

"Thanks, Sis!" I said as I grabbed my ID from her hand before rushing out of the house.

Gladly, the world was on my side today, thanks to the ID since the school name was written on it, and to my luck, it was located nearby, just a few blocks away from the house.

After running for like an eternity, I finally arrived in front of the school while I caught up my breath as I looked at the phone, and now I still have 2 minutes.

I let out a deep breath as I ran again inside the school building, stopping midway as I widen my eyes when I realized that I didn't know which classroom I was supposed to go to.

"Zî Ruì ?"

A voice suddenly spoke behind me, turning around and hoping that this person could help me find my classroom.

"You're just in time, Zî Ruì; it seems like you've been running since earlier," an old-looking woman suddenly said. She was wearing a teacher uniform, making me smile in relief.

"Yeah, may I know if you're my subject teacher at this time because I kind of lost my schedule and forgot it too?" I said, making an excuse and hoping she won't ask any further.

"Of course, I am your subject teacher at this time," she said while heading upstairs, letting out a relief sigh while I followed her from behind.

"You're looking new today, Zî Ruì; was there an event or plan?" She suddenly asked, making me frown and glance up at her.

I raised one of my eyebrows in confusion but just decided to stay quiet and just went inside the classroom after her, sitting on an empty seat, and I could clearly feel all the students staring at me right now.

Now I wonder if there was something wrong with my looks or if the problem was really them and not me.

I just shaken my head mentally and decided to stay quiet first while analyzing my surroundings, as I noticed that some students were staring at me while others were gossiping.

Rolling my eyes in annoyance as I stood up and excused myself at the teacher to use the restroom, I went straight out of the classroom as soon as the teacher gave me permission.

Now to think of it, the teacher told me that I look different, and as soon as I step inside the classroom, all the students start to stare differently and gossip as if something was wrong with me.

Letting out a frustrating sigh as I went inside the restroom and stared at myself in the mirror first, but soon I froze as my eyes widen in shock when a question suddenly struck my mind.

"Wait, don't tell me they can actually see the soul that was inside the body," I muttered to myself as I gasped in shock and a bit scared before shaking my head.

"Or what if there was really something that was different on me? Was the kid soul following me from behind that makes them stare and gossip?" I whispered under my breath; just thinking about it makes me shiver in fear.

'No, no, no, it can't be...' I thought as I hit my head on a nearby wall, trying to set aside the scary questions first.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here."

Frowning a little bit as I stood up straight before turning around to see three guys right there in front of me and cornering me all of the sudden. I stared at each one of them, a bit confused on who they are and what they need from me.

"Hey, don't just stare at us like that, you idiot," the guy said as he hit my head lightly and started to poke my forehead hard enough to make me step back and make my blood boil.

"Look at him, dude, all quiet as always," the second guy said as they started to laugh, making me bite my inner cheek in annoyance, but I tried to calm myself first.

"Hey, hand it over now." The guy said who was leading the gang. I frowned a bit and was confused on what he was asking.

"Hand what?" I asked in a rude way, making them frown, and before I knew it, the guy had already grabbed my hair and hit my stomach, making me grumble in pain.

"You should have known what's the consequence of your words," the guy said as he grabbed my collar, making me yell while trying to pull away from his grasp.

"What, are you going to cry?" The guy said mockingly as they started to laugh, making me grit my teeth.

This kid's body was too weak and fragile; that makes me annoyed because I want to hit these guys so badly, but this body wasn't helping at all!

"What you rat? I dare you to speak," the guy said with an ugly smirk that makes me want to wipe it off, and with that, I bit the guy's hand that was holding my collar.

Biting his hand hard enough, she groaned in pain as he pushed me away, almost falling to the ground, but luckily I balanced myself.

The guy stared at me angrily as he swung his fist, but I immediately dodged it and kicked his nuts where the sun never shines, making him grumble in pain as he fell on his knees.

I smirked mischievously, putting my right foot on his shoulder as I chuckled lowly.

"Ahh~ Look at you crying in pain," I said with a satisfaction sigh before glancing up at his chaperone, who was now staring at me, scared and shocked.

I chuckled before kicking the guy who's still groaning with tears as he held his nuts in pain, walking toward the two guys before patting their shoulder as I smirked.

"Hope not to see you three again," I said with a sly grin before leaving the restroom.

Walking down the hallway and toward the classroom, but soon stopping midway as I lean against the wall and groan in pain, holding my stomach as I clench my fist.

I can't believe I just endured the pain for too long, and now it hurts so a lot. Just how weak this kid's body was? This is so annoying after all; I'm not used to getting beat up and more like I'm the one who's beating them up.

After so many hours studying inside the school, it was now dismissal, and every student was heading out of the school campus now.

Walking out of the school campus, feeling exhausted after a tiring day, and the pain earlier has already subsided now.

I can't believe what kind of sick game the world has been playing on this kid life, and it makes me irritated. Just how much more suffering do I need to endure?

Sighing heavily as I walked down the alley toward my house, or more like Zî Ruì house. Thankfully that today was a bit lucky enough to not make me suffer since I wasn't late earlier and even save my own life and this kid even though I was a bit beaten up.

Not too long, I finally arrived in front of the house, and I could hear a familiar voice besides my Lì Mēi voice.

Frowning a little as I open the door and step inside the house to see there, Lì Mēi was sitting beside...
