Megan was still on her bed, eyes closed as she reminisce about her encounter with Diego,the boy who had always given her a terrible nightmare back then at school.
She tried hard to resist the urge to think about her tragic days at Lowell High school, still rumbling on her thoughts,the door tilted opend as Ms. Sarah walked in.
She took a quick glance at her surprised at the expression plastered on her face
"Megan "I have something to tell you," she announced.
Megan pushed herself up, curious. "What is it?"
"There's a man waiting for you outside," Ms. Sarah said, her expression turning a bit more serious.
Megan furrowed her brow in confusion. "Who is that? I don't think I'm expecting anyone today," she replied, a sense of unease washing over her.
"He said his name is Aiden," Ms. Sarah answered, her words hanging in the air.
At the mention of his name, Megan's eyes flew wide open. A surging feeling of excitement creeping into her and without thinking, she jumped out of her bed. "Aiden? He's here?!"
Ms. Sarah nodded, amusement dancing in her eyes as she watched Megan's excitement.
Without waiting for another moment, Megan dashed out of her room, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. She felt he was the only person she needed right at this moment her bare feet barely touching the ground as she raced down the hallway and out the front door.
When she reached the driveway, Megan found Aiden leaning casually against the wall, his attention focused on his phone. Always charming as ever,—tall, with his brown hair and a relaxed posture that made her stomach flutter.
"Baby!" Megan shouted, her voice filled with a mix of joy and disbelief.
Aiden turned at the sound of her voice, a look of surprise transformed into a radiant smile as their eyes met. He dropped his phone, and in one fluid motion, Megan ran to him with arms wide open, feeling like she could fly.
Aiden caught her effortlessly, lifting her off the ground and spinning her around. She wrapped her legs around him and buried her face in his neck, inhaling the familiar scent of him that brought her back from those troubling thought's she's been battling with.
He gently placed a kiss on her forehead, and a wave of warmth washed over Megan, causing her to blush hard,he pulled back slightly, gazing into his eyes.
"I—I can't believe you're here! I've missed you so much!" she exclaimed, hugging him tight, feeling the comforting strength of his arms around her.
Aiden smiled, his eyes sparkling. "I missed you too, My love. I didn't want to wait any longer,I drove here as soon as I landed"
"How was your trip, see, you look stressed out" Megan said worriedly cupping his face.
"Wait I I've a lot of things to tell you babe, come in" Megan held his hands dragging him in.
Megan turned to Aiden realizing he was resisting to go in.
"Babe, come on, let's go in" Megan comforted trying to grab his arm once more.
"Sorry Megan,I thought i might be taking you out for a date, what about your parents? I guess they're in" Aiden replied
"Was it about them, Aiden you don't need to worry about my them,they can't hurt you,not when I'm here" Megan uttered with a Stern look.
"I know but I still don't Feel like meeting them again not after our last conversation, your dad firmly warned he never wants to see me with his daughter, *Meg* please let's just go somewhere else, Aiden pleaded holding her face softly.
After much silence Megan drew a deep breath in, realizin Aiden was right,she never wants to aggravate the tension between Aiden and her parents anymore.
"Fine please just give me 5 minutes and I'll be back" Megan replied
"Oh you mean 10 minutes, sure take your time" Aiden said looking away"
"What do you mean Aiden, like I'll take the whole day wearing makeup, huh" Megan responded hitting his chest hard
"Ouch, ahh, my heart" Aiden cried wincing hardly in pain as he bent down holding his chest.
Megan face lit in worry, rubbing his chest slowly.
"I'm sorry,does it hurt, did I hit you too hard" Megan asked fear gripping her.
"No, it's my heart Megan" Aiden managed to reply still holding his chest.
"What happened it baby, I'm sorry" Megan uttered in a soft tone
"It's beating hard for you" Aiden said breaking Into a hard laughter.
"What? Did you just play a prank on me"Megan Held his face pinching it hard.
"Come here, it's truly beating hard for you baby" Aiden wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her into his embrace.
"Fine, just give some minutes and I'll be back" Megan finally broke the hug walking away hurriedly.
Thanks to Aiden,she was going to take a real break from her problems, but for now she just wants to be with him.
She walked back up to her room hurriedly, pulling out varieties of clothes from her Wardrobe.
It's been up to a month since she saw Aiden last, I need to look Dazzling for my love, he's taking me out for a date" Megan thought bringing out some gowns as she observed them on the mirror.
Now Megan room was in a mess,her clothes was scattered on the floor all across every corner of her room.
She rushed into the bathroom taking her bath and after some time she quickly rushed out with a towel tied around her.
She rushed to her bed,to pick the dress she had chosen to wear, resting on the bed gracefully,she quickly wore her dress, rushing to the mirror once more she applied a light make-up on her face .
"Aiden would be so happy to see me looking this hot" Megan couldn't contain the joy she was feeling, that of being with Aiden,her first love the man she had always wished to spend the rest of life with.
She grabbed her purse walking out hastily, climbing down the stairs she found Ms, Sarah walking to her.
"Please tell my parents I had to rush out early,I have somewhere urgent to be with someone special" Megan informed walking out.
"Not so fast Megan,and who's that special someone" a voice pulled her back.
Turning, Megan Mom walked down the stairs slowly staring at Megan with a piercing gaze.
"Good morn…." Megan words were Left hanging with her mother sudden outburst.
"I asked you a question Megan, who's that" her mom shouted
Megan stood watching her mom climbed down the stairs in surprise
"What do you mean mom, since when did you start watching over me like some little kid"
"Since you refused to stop going out with that bastard" Megan Dad voice echoed Walking down the stairs.
"I know that bastard is outside waiting for you Megan, but guess what, you're not stepping out from this house with Aiden" her dad continued.
"Dad,I thought we've discussed about this,if it's not Aiden then forget about it, Stop with all this petty drama, he's waiting outside" Megan replied turning to walk away.
"Megan, don't you dare Walk out on your father when he's speaking to you" her mom roared.
Megan stopped walking at once without turning to face them this time.
"Megan it's your choice, step out from this house, and face my wrath,or refrain from going out with that coward" Nelson ranted gritting his teeth hard.
The atmosphere was tensed left with Megan parents piercing stare at her while Ms Sarah stood at the corner watching the whole scene,her eyes filled with worried for Megan.
"Megan finally opened her mouth still backing her parents.
"Then Bring It On,I don't give a damn, just know one thing, don't even think about hurting Aiden, I'll never forgive the both of you"
With that Megan stormed leaving her parents stunned.
Nelson held his chest closing his eyes, trying to gasp for air.
"Quick, Sarah bring his B.P pills" Megan Mom shouted holding him.
Ms. Sarah rushed upstairs at once leaving Megan dad with her mom.
"Nelson, please open your eyes what's wrong" she said trying to hold him up.
Outside Megan walked to Aiden grabbing his hand forcefully dragging him to the car.
"You're looking so beautiful Sweet heart" Aiden complimented trying to hold her waist.
"What's wrong babe, what the hell happened in there *Meg*" Aiden asked realizing Megan expression was soured.
"It's nothing baby, let's go" Megan replied getting into the car.
Aiden quickly got in zooming off at once.
