Kai was in full battle regalia. He smiled as he patted his new whip. It was no Purple Legendary Whip, but it was still a sturdy weapon.
Now, the only thing he needed was to find Alex, shake him up like a sack of potatoes, and make him give the gnomes their strength back.
It was not like the former flying pig had any fighting abilities to speak of. Kai was a veteran of a thousand battles. He could not only shake up Alex, but he could also make sure that the boy did not get up to any mischief in the future.
Or else…
"I think that we should get some more sandwiches for the road," Lin said, who was of the mind to warn Alex and help the kid move to a tropical island.
"No, we have enough food," Kai protested, as he took his backpack, kissed Lin on the cheek, and marched out of the door.
The gnomes were gathered before his house. Battlepaws had flowers tied to his saddle. It was a march of a Hero. It was the march of Fate!
