"Daddy... What are you doing here, in my room? And what are you trying to do to me?" Sam asked, terrified.
"Who is your daddy because I'm not!" Her father angrily replied. His eyes gazed down at her body and he licked his lips. "I want you!"
"You want me—" She wasn't done speaking when he pounced on her but fortunately, she was able to dodge on time causing him to land on the bed.
She ran out of the bed and ran to the door only to find it locked. The key was nowhere to be seen.
"Hahahaha, you can't get away from me," her father laughed and crawled out of the bed. He landed on the floor and began to crawl his way to her. "I am going to have you for dinner," he said and licked his lips.
"What is wrong with you daddy?" Sam yelled as she tried to escape from him. She was doomed, there was no where she could hide or escape to. 'Daddy is now like a hungry beast, I need to get away from him but how do I do it? And mommy, why hasn't she come to help me?' She thought as she ran around the room.
"Come here!" Her father growled and pounced on her once more, she barely dodged it and this caused one side of her night wear to tear. "You are mine, no one can save you!" He yelled as he continued going after her.
'Where can I run to?' Sam thought inwardly as tears rolled down from her eyes. Her mother always told her that her father had changed, she knew as well but she didn't want to believe it until now. The man before her was not her father, rather, he is a monster. She knew she could not continue like this... She had to escape or she won't know what might happen to her if he caught her.
She turned and saw her window was open and it was the only way she could escape so she made for it, but just as she was about to climb it, her legs slipped and she fell down.
"Hahahah, I got you now!" Her father cried happily and rushed at her. He was ready do devour her, the hunger in his eyes was evident and nothing could change it.
"No!" Sam yelled and crawled away. 'The knife!' she suddenly thought and went to her bed. She had always kept a knife under her bed for purposes no one knew of and so she rushed to that place she always hid it and pulled it out. Just then, her father jumped to attack her but she raised the knife instead and stabbed him right on time.
He staggered backwards and fell on his butt. Blood began to trickle down and soon, his shirt became dyed in blood. But instead of refraining himself, he laughed loudly, a creepy look on his face that sent shivers down Sam's spine.
"You think you can stop me with this?" He asked her.
At this point, Sam knew that her father had definitely gone crazy. There was no redemption worth so ever for him, as such, she had to end things and... The faster the better.
She tightened her grip on the knife and waited for another opening, she was ready to strike again until everything stopped.
"I am going to have you—" He yelled and pounced on her again but before he could finish his statement, Sam drew the knife into his chest again and this time, he fell to the ground.
Sam's breathing became rapid as she gazed at her father who was lying in the pool of his own blood. She didn't know what suddenly came over her father and as a good daughter, she had to stop it. Yes, she had to help her father and that help is by killing him.
She stopped breathing rapidly and walked up to him, she then knelt beside him and watched as he slowly gave up. Tears gathered in her eyes but she quickly wiped them away, not allowing a single drop fall from her eyes.
"Sam," her father whispered slowly. "Why did you..."
Her father was struggling to speak, he had no strength to continue again.
"It is for the better," she said to him. "This way, you won't have to be a burden to any of us again."
Her father's eyes widened open upon hearing what his daughter said.
"You..."
"Don't bother to speak again, daddy. Rest more," she whispered softly to him and raised the knife in her hand. "Daddy, I want you to rest," she whispered again and stabbed him on the chest again. This time, one stab didn't do. She stabbed him over and over again on the same spot, even when he finally gave up, she continued until she felt satisfied.
She raised her bloodied hands and gazed at them, and suddenly the once-locked door opened and her mother walked in.
"Sam!" Her mother yelled.
"Yes, mommy," Sam replied and turned her head around. "Where have you been? Why are you just coming now?"
Meeting her daughter's bloodied face, the old lady gasped and collapsed.
"Mommy!" Sam yelled and threw the knife away. She stood up and ran to her mother and knelt beside her. "Mommy, wake up!" She yelled while shaking her mother.
Finally, after a while, the woman came around. When she opened her eyes, she saw her daughter sitting right next to her and when she remembered what she saw, she gasped and moved away.
The noise woke Sam up and she saw her mother moving away from her.
"Mommy, what is the matter?" She asked her.
"Sam, what have you done?" Her mother asked her.
"Father needed to rest so I helped him get enough rest," she replied.
"You devil!" Her mother yelled. "Get out of my house, leave!" She screamed.
"But mommy..." Sam said but her mother got up from the floor, she glared hatefully at her.
"If you won't leave, I'll hand you over to the police!" The woman said.
Sam sighed, her mother was dead serious so she got up. She could not bother her anymore.
"Fine mommy, I won't go far. I'll be around just in case you need my help," she said and walked out of the room.
The woman staggered to where her husband is and knelt before him.
"I failed, honey, I am sorry," she said while crying. "It's all my fault that this happened. If I had not listened to you, perhaps this would not have been the outcome. I am so sorry."
