Sam left the house and began to wander around the town. She roamed from streets to streets, alleys to alleys like a child driven out of the house... Oh, right! She was actually driven out. She had no destination. At night, she would return to the house and sleep on the stairs there, early the morning, she would leave so that no one will see her.
People hated her and feared her after the news of what she did circulated. Her friends all left her and none of her family members had it in mind to take her in. They called her a monster who killed her father without hesitation.
Now, it's been days she left her home and recently, she is seen roaming the street once again. She soon got to a busy road and turned in that direction, initially, she didn't want to go there because she was afraid of being seen but she had no choice — she was starving.
As soon as she took that road, some kids saw her and began to point their fingers at her.
"Look, it's that monster again!"
"What is she doing here?"
"Gosh! I hate her!"
"Let's beat her up, she's not supposed to be seen!"
"Yes!"
They began to follow her as she walked ahead, she noticed that she was being followed and increased her pace but that would not help her at all. The kids were after her so they wouldn't stop until they carry out their plans.
They followed her until she got to a quieter road and then they stopped her.
"Monster, stop right there!" The leader of the gang yelled.
She refused to stop and kept on walking so the boy angrily picked up a big stone and aimed it at her. The stone hit her on the head and she fell down immediately. Blood began to trickle down.
"Go and gather her, don't allow her to escape!" He commanded his boys and they nodded and ran up to where she was lying down. They gathered her and then made way for their leader to come.
"You monster, you aren't supposed to be seen walking around freely," he said to her. "You killed your father so we are going to kill you as well!"
"Leave me, please," she said to him but the boy laughed.
"Leave you? That is impossible!" He replied and then turned to his boys. "Beat her up!" He commanded them.
"Yes, boss!" They chorused and jumped into the action. Just as they were beating her, the sky suddenly darkened and everywhere became as dark as night.
They stopped beating her and looked up at the sky. "What's happening?" They asked one another. They watched as red beams fell from the sky, they landed on them and all of a sudden, they began to yell.
Sam opened her eyes and watched them engulfed in red flames. As if whatever was happening to them had stopped, the flames died down and they stopped screaming. They turned to her, their eyes glowing with red flames and began to beat her again. This time around, there was so much difference in their action, before, they merely wanted to teach her a serious lesson notwithstanding thier boss's command but right now, they intended to kill her. One could tell from their beating method — they attacked her on her vitals, hitting and blowing her however they liked.
Sam coughed out blood many times, she was tired already from the many beatings, and could no longer talk or move her body. She knew something had happened to those boys and it was familiar. It made her remember her father.
"Die!" The boss yelled as he raised his hand to give her one last blow. Everything suddenly darkened and after a while, she opened her eyes and looked around.
She was definitely in the same spot and at the same time but the situation was different — the boys were all lying dead around her, covered in blood while she was on her feet, her hand covered in blood.
"Again..." She sighed and looked up. The sky had returned to normal. "So it was just a dream? No... It's more like my own side of the story."
She turned around, and with her head lowered, she began to leave the place.
'My name is Samantha Lucas and this is the real truth, my story...'
'Before my birth, I remember being in a dark place as a lost soul, it was more like an abyss, an endless one. I was alone, with no one by my side and I felt sad, heartbroken, and lonely. I wanted to feel loved, to be cared for, I craved for attention and pampering but nothing was happening. I stayed there for years, until one day, I was born into this world. I was born into a family that loved and pampered me so much, and I was very happy. I was their princess, everyone admired and made me feel peace, and I thought this was going to last till eternity but unfortunately, I was lying to myself. Everything changed the day I found out that my mother was pregnant. It drove me crazy because I just wanted to be the only child, I wanted all the love and attention to myself and to achieve that, I had to do something. The unborn child was innocent but does it really mattered? I cared less about everything else and tried to make my mother loose the child unknowningly but I failed and in the end, the baby was born.
A girl, just like me? I was enraged. How dare she come to take over my position?! That night, it was raining heavily and no one heard or knew when and how she died. My mother came to find her little body lying lifeless on her bed and she cried her heart out that night, it was painful to watch but what has happened has happened. I have succeeded and that was all that mattered, the attention, love, care, and everything was all mine again.
As I became older, I noticed that my father was no longer loving me the way he should instead he loved my mother dearly. I also loved my mother dearly or I would have killed her instead but I went ahead and killed my father. That night, he didn't attack me, it was I who attacked him. He came back as promised to celebrate my birthday with me, but my gift for him was killing him in the most horrible manner. Who would have thought that my action would end up driving me away from the place I called home. My mother, the only person that loves me now hates me that she wish I die, my friends have all run away and the whole street is wary of me. These boys tried to kill me, I didn't do them anything but they wished I die. I had to defend myself, and this caused them their lives.
At this moment, I am back to the dark abyss where I once belong.'
