"Dad, why are you doing this?," Peggy cried.
"Didn't I tell you that I was looking for a way to get rid of her? You have the guts to come tell me to plead for that witch," Tom scolded, irked.
"Dad she's no witch, Lashonda is your daughter, she's still so young, only God knows what those people will do to her," Peggy continued trying to persuade her father.
"Wasn't she the reason you sold out the fishes to someone else? So you can treat her.
How long do you think you can keep up with this-Peggy? After spending so much money on her, she'll eventually die soon," Tom sniggered.
"Dad, I'm trying my best not to disrespect you. How can you say such a thing about your daughter?," Peggy yelled, obviously angry.
"I won't have been saying these things if you didn't come to me for help," Tom fired.
"You're so greedy, you don't have money to take care of anyone, even your own self."
Peggy walked out on her father after the argument with him ended. Tom watched her as she walked into the inner house.
"Trust me you'll also get tired of her soon," Tom muttered behind his daughter.
Peggy went into the room and changed her outfit, after that she walked out of the house in search of her father. She exhaled when she saw her father outside the house, seated under the huge tree.
She walked up to him with a glare on her face, when he met her eyes he furrowed at why she was standing in front of him.
"Did you take the money I kept under the pillow?."
"What rubbish??....."
"Dad don't even give me that act, we both know there's no other person in this house. That's the remaining money from the fish I sold, so please..... give it back, else you won't like what next I'll do," Peggy spoke with so much anger and seriousness.
"Are you threatening me?."
"I'm not joking with you, believe me when I say you won't like me in the next two minutes," Peggy added.
Tom could sense how serious she was, he didn't even want to imagine what her next action would be.
"How much is the money?."
"It's five silver coins, don't pretend as if you don't know," Peggy replied, leaving her father surprised.
He had never seen this side of her before, Lashonda was the one who normally behaves this way, he could tell she was really angry.
Quietly he deepened his hand In his pocket and brought out the money.
Peggy glared at his open palm that snatched the coins .
"Give it," she hissed and snatched it from him, walking out of his sight.
Tom was taken aback by what she just did.
"Such disrespectful things I have as children" he shook his head saying.
Peggy could be seen in front of a building, waiting for the woman to attend to her. It was taking forever.
"Peggy," she finally heard the woman voice out her name.
She cat walked out of her house smiling at Peggy, the woman might look beautiful and jovial but even a blind man could see her pride.
"Good afternoon ma'am," Peggy greeted, bending her knee in respect.
"Call me madame Rico, I'm not that older than you," said the woman in her mid fifties.
She never wants to look or be addressed as old. "That's by the way, I'm surprised to have you here."
"I'm here to accept your offer ma'am ," Peggy replied without hesitation.
Madame Rico couldn't help the smile that cracked on her face and ended with a smirk.
"And what if I say the offer is no longer valid?."
Peggy paused when she heard what the woman had just said, she got tensed and her facial expression displayed how worried she was.
"Ma'am I'm really serious this time i.....,"
"It's fine," the woman interrupted her.
"You're lucky I haven't gotten an additional person yet. First thing tomorrow morning I want you to be here and I'll take you to the castle. Understood?."
"Yes. Thank you ma'am , thank you very much."
"It's okay, but I hope you remember that you have to be extra careful in the castle, even the slightest mistake can cost you your life," the woman warned. "Have a rethink tonight, return to me tomorrow if you know you're truly ready."
"Thanks ma'am , I'll be here first thing tomorrow," Peggy assured, knowing that she had nothing to think about.
She was happy because she knew how impossible it was to get her sister out of prison , but if she works at the castle, she will be able to take good care of her.

"But why don't you want to get married?." Elizabeth asked Seraphina who was giving her the gist of how her mother got mad at her.
"She has all the right to be mad, in such a short time, take a look at the suitors you've rejected."
"But it's not my fault that they keep coming," Seraphina tiredly said.
"Is it that you don't like the suitors or you just don't want to get married?," Elizabeth asked, raising her brows dramatically.
"Uhmmm, I don't like the men that have come so far, plus- I feel I'm still too young to be controlled by some prince or Childe."
"What makes you feel that you're still young?," Elizabeth mocked.
"What rubbish. Why aren't you married? If I can remember clearly, we are of the same age," Seraphina fired.
"Excuse you, I'm no princess, I'm not royalty," Elizabeth said, making Seraphina hit her hard on her back. "Ouch.."
"So how's your brother?," Elizabeth asked with a serious face.
"Not now Beth, don't ask me stupid questions about Logan."
"No, not Logan, Gavin," Elizabeth added.
"Gavin? What happened to Gavin? Don't tell me you like him now?," Seraphina asked, a little bit confused.
"I overheard my dad telling my mother about what happened to Gavin today at the throne room."
"Throne room? What happened to Gavin?," Seraphina curiously asked.
"I don't know, maybe I heard wrongly," Elizabeth said, lifting her both shoulders.
Just then, the Seraphina thought of the fact that she hasn't seen Gavin since today, and it made her curious about what Elizabeth was saying.
"Go ahead, tell me what happened," Seraphina urged her to speak.
"According to my father. The king wanted to make prince Xander the crown prince, but the high priest said he wasn't the chosen one, then he appointed Gavin but the high priest said the same thing that he wasn't chosen.
The king was angry and didn't want to take no for an answer, he claimed that he had no other son. He took the crown of the crown prince and crowned Gavin, after asking him if he wanted the post," Elizabeth narrated.
"And what was his response?," Seraphina seriously asked.
"According to my dad, he said yes," Elizabeth said, leaving Seraphina laughing.
"So Gavin also wants to be king. Funny."
"I also found it funny but the end of the story wasn't even close to fun.
After putting on the crown, he said that Gavin began acting oddly, he itched all part of his body and also threw the crown away from his head," Elizabeth finished her explanation.
"Meaning?," came Seraphina's harsh question.
"Meaning he has gone nuts, according to what people saw, but they are yet to know if he's fine now."
"Gavin is my brother, his palace is just a few meters away, and I have not heard any such news. Are you sure you didn't hear wrongly?,"
"I don't know if I heard wrongly, but my father has no time to cook up such a long story," Elizabeth replied. " Logan was finally made the crown prince, after poor Gavin had already gone mad."
"Elizabeth, will you shut your stupid mouth, my brother isn't mad," Seraphina angrily yelled, lifting up from the chair she sat on.
"But you should go check on him before you argue with me, I guess you haven't seen him since today."
Seraphina glared at Elizabeth, she raised her long mantle and walked out of the room in range.
"Should I leave or you'll return soon?," Elizabeth asked Seraphina from behind, but she got no response from the angry girl.
