*TCHIT*
A tactical sword is stabbed into the head of a cow before quickly being retracted.
"Ugh..That's still sickening no matter how much I've done it this past hour." Mutters our dear physicist, grimacing at his own actions.
He was now attempting to make a backpack to carry as many items as possible for his adventure-he was packing up for quite the long trip, after all.
"there...that should be enough leather..." Placing down a crafting table, our physicist combines it with some string and iron using a makeshift sewing needle and his crafting hammer.
He picks up his new creation and smiles, happy with the item. It was more of a satchel than a backpack, but he was happy with it regardless.
True backpacks seemed to act as an extension of the inventory, and consequently needed some strange and magical items to craft.
Our physicist puts on his simple iron plate armor/lab coat combination and slings his satchel over his shoulder. Within the sack he placed small items such as apples and slices of cooked beef. He places his basic, small tools (such as his wrench) in the armor-coat's many pockets.
It also seemed as though putting on an accessory such as the sack made it appear in the accessory slots in his inventory {curios}.
All this and more considered, he started his journey southward right at midday, making sure to use the prospect function of DT-018 fairly often to check for new, potentially useful ore veins.
In particular, apart from exploring, our physicist wants to find chalcopyrite, malachite, and cassiterite sand veins for copper and tin.
He chuckles "Next step, The bronze age!"

[About an hour later]
The physicist lays on the ground, leaning against a tree, wheezing for air.
"Holy shit why...are....skeletons so smart??" Sweat was pouring down his face and body.
He'd been attacked by a large group of skeletons that had been taking refuge from the sun under a tree while he was marking down the cassiterite sand vein he'd found.
Obviously, with no fighting experience, our poor physicist got overwhelmed quite quickly, especially since the group seemed to have a rather powerful leader whose body emanated some strange purple particles.
He ran. As quickly as he could, his hand protectors clanking against his sides as he fled, panic and adrenaline flooding through his veins.
Eventually, of course, it came to a stop, and so did he. Under a tree at the edge between an open plains biome and a densely packed forest.
The sun hadn't gone too far down yet, so after quickly putting that mishap behind him, our physicist continues to wander southward, looking for that precious vein of chalcopyrite or malachite.
"Okay..." he grunted with a hand on his knee as he attempted to get up, adjusting his armor and satchel. "Let's...Keep going...DT-018, how far have I travelled?"
"You have travelled approximately 2 kilometers in the past hour."
"Hmm...that's quite fast isn't it? Especially since I was walking at a relatively slow speed, in comparison to my running."
The robotic voice rang out in our physicist's head once more "I would also like to inform you that signs of civilization have once more been detected."
"Hmmm..." He hummed, remembering the last time he'd detected 'civilization'. "Let's go check it out. DT-018, please point me toward it."
"Yes." replied the robot, making an arrow appear in our physicist's eyes. "It is located at coordinates [500,2400]."
The physicist adjusted his satchel once more, and once started the trek to 'civilization'.
As he walked through the open fields, he slowly sped up, feeling the wind on his face, drying off all his sweat, and cooling his body. It swept through his hair, and laid a smile back on his face.
with a sigh of satisfaction, our physicist keeps moving forward. "Let's get this done shall we?"
He moves quickly, hope sparking in his chest-hope for a village-hope for intelligent life and civilization.
As he ran another notification arrived that only served to heighten his joy and hope.
"chalcopyrite vein detected"
"WOOO hell yesss! mark that down for me 018!"
"Yes." replies the robotic voice.
Another 15 minutes of walking later, our physicist spots something strange at the horizon. A small house made of stripped oak logs, cobblestone, with glass windows. The eyes of the physicist glowed in joy, and the grin he didn't realize was plastered on his face grew even more.
"A VILLAGE!!!! LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

[upon entry of the world]
A young soldier, moments away from death gets whisked into a new dimension by the currents of time and space, landing on a slimy, wet floor in a pitch black room.
The already panicked soldier let's out a yelp and reaches around him with a combination of confusion and fear.
"A-am I dead?" he manages to stutter out.
A low grunt sounds from a corner of the room, followed by the grating of a voice that clearly hadn't spoken in a very, very long time.
"N-o...yo-u ae-r no-" the voice of this mystery creature made the young soldier feel as though there was something gripping his heart.
"Wha..what are you?" the soldier asks. Fear is still evident in his voice, but it is also edged with a morbid sort of curiosity.
a minute of tense silence passed between the two individuals.
"No-t..Yo-u're bu-ssi-ness." the creature choked out finally.
The young soldier swallowed and quietened, curiosity no longer enough to make him speak up.
Another minute of silence passed
"Yo-u a-re of---a-n unu-sual ra-ce..." the creature trailed off toward the end of its sentence.
The young soldier continued to stay silent out of fear
"I---won-der....chi-l-l-d do y-ou wis-h to b-e---trap-ped he-re for ete-rnity?"
The young soldier shook his head vigorously, and let out a silent, but determined "N-no sir..no I would not"
"Al-ready re-covering fro-from suc-h--ch gre-at---sho-ck wha-what a won-der-der-ful rac-ee..."
the young soldier swallowed once more, but was slowly recovering his mentality and stability, and the creature seemed to notice that. In the silence, he could hear a gruesome sound-somewhere between hacking and sobbing.
The creature was laughing.
"Ch--ild t-ake thi-this rin-g-g. A-ll cr-eatio-n m-ay ha-te y-you bu-t y-you wi-ll have my bless-ssing."
Out of the darkness comes flying an ornate black ring with a gray sheen. It is adorned by a large red jewel. As the soldier looked at the gem, he could swear he saw some grotesque creature deep within. It was as though his mind was getting sucked into the gem.
Right then, his vision turned black, and he lost consciousness. The creature let out one final peal of demonic laughter and said three simple words.
"Fear everything, child."
