Sean's sudden appearance froze everyone in place. His voice echoed across the poolside dining area, cutting through the clinking of silverware and quiet murmurs of conversation.
"Enough." Sultan's voice boomed, silencing Sean mid-sentence. "You think showing up like this makes up for abandoning her? For marrying someone else behind her back?"
Sean flinched, his jaw tightening. "I made a mistake, and I'm here to make amends."
"Amends?" Sultan scoffed, shaking his head. "You've done enough damage."
Finally, Ziggy spoke, his tone laced with sarcasm. "Wow, Sean. Great timing. Right in the middle of dinner. Very classy."
Sean's eyes flicked to Ziggy, confusion flickering across his face. "Ziggy? What are you doing here?"
Before Ziggy could respond, Fara stood abruptly, her chair scraping against the tiled floor. "Sean, I think you should leave," she said, her voice firm though her hands trembled.
