Even after Freya got closer to this golem, it was still unmoving. So to find out the problem, Freya started to inspect the large golem thoroughly. Soon she was able to find the reason why this golem was not moving anymore.
There was a mana battery inside it which was responsible for supplying the golem with energy so that it could move. But because of the long passage of time, the mana inside the battery had dispersed so now this golem did not have a power source anymore. That was the reason why it was not activating even when Freya was standing right before it.
Freya was able to charge the golem with her mana so it was not a big deal. But before doing it, she once again started to investigate it in order to verify the knowledge that she had in her head. As a supreme sage, Freya's mind had a vast quantity of high quality magical knowledge. So Freya wanted to test her knowledge against this golem.

After thoroughly investigating the golem, Freya was able to understand almost everything about it. Then she started to think about its strength. This world had a well defined power scaling system. It started from H rank which was the weakest. A person with H rank was only as strong as a regular adult person. Then there were G, F, E, D, C, B and the A rank. The strength of a person increased alongside the rank and among these A rank was the strongest.
But it was not the end of the ranking. After A rank, even more powerful people were able to reach AA and AAA ranks. Someone with the strength of a AAA rank was able to dominate an area and would be respected highly all over the world. But even that was not the limit.
Above the AAA rank there was the S rank.
Very few people in this world were able to reach the legendary rank of S. Any S ranker would be able to become a natural powerhouse. Many nations did not even have a single S rank powerhouse. There were even higher ranks of SS and SSS which represented an even higher ceiling of power.
As for this golem, at its peak, it could output the power of an AAA rank. But after so much deterioration, many of its weapons had stopped working and even if Freya activated it now, it would at most be able to reach the A rank in terms of power. This was a little disappointing for Freya as with that strength, she would not be able to test her stronger spells on this golem.
Even without using her Forbidden Grimoire, the current Freya could easily match any S rank powerhouse and could even hold on for a little bit against a SS rank. And if she used the Forbidden magic then even a SS rank would not be a match against her. So for the time being, Freya could be relieved if she did not come across any SSS rank powerhouse.
So this Golem was not really a match against her but still it was strong enough for her to use as a test dummy. So after completing her investigation of the golem, she immediately provided the required mana to the battery and the golem finally started moving.

As Freya was standing in front of the golem, it immediately detected her as an intruder to be eliminated and started attacking her. Freya did not immediately start attacking this golem and waited for it to start attacking her first.
The first move that this giant golem made was a simple punch with its large fist. Even though it was a straight forward move, if anyone below the A rank took it, they would most probably die immediately.
But Freya did not mind it at all and simply cast a spell called "Great Rock Wall". Immediately a wall of brown rock appeared before Freya and protected her from the punch. When the punch connected with the wall, cracks appeared all over it but the wall was still intact. Freya judged that this rock wall would still be able to withstand three more of such punches.
The great rock wall was a 7th grade spell, so Freya was happy with the durability of it. In this battle Freya was restricting herself in many ways. She was capable of easily defeating this golem if she just used a high tier spell. But that would not give her any battle experience so Freya was planning to just use spells under the high tier for this fight.
Spells of grade 1 to 5 were low tier spells. And then spells from grade 6 to 9 were mid tier ones. So for this fight, Freya was restricting herself to only use spells which were below the 10th grade. So the next spell that she cast was a 5th grade spell called "Wind Stroll".
Immediately wind surrounded her feet and Freya jumped back. The wind had increased her speed by quite a bit, so she was able to create a large distance between herself and the golem.
The golem soon punched the rock wall a few more times and broke it. But as Freya had already moved away from her previous location, its target was not there anymore. Then the golem looked forward and located Freya's new location with its sensing device. Then a gun-like device appeared on one of the golem's shoulders and it started shooting towards her.
The projectiles that were coming toward Freya all had the power of a fourth grade spell. But there were a huge number of them coming toward her so it was more troublesome to deal with than a normal fourth tier spell. But it was not anything to worry about for Freya.
She immediately cast another spell and this time it was an 8th grade spell called "Raging Tempest". Immediately wind appeared before her and in no time it turned into a tornado. All the magic projectiles which were coming toward Freya were sucked into the tornado and became a part of it. Then Freya sent the tornado toward the golem.
The size of the tornado was quite large and it was almost as tall as the golem. But it was not strong enough to harm the golem badly as the material that this golem was made from was quite powerful. So Freya decided to add another thing to this tornado to make it more powerful.
So for that reason Freya cast another 8th grade spell called "Flaming Eruption". But the target of this spell was not the golem. Instead this spell took effect just below the tornado and the erupting flames got mixed together with it. Just like that, this regular tornado turned into a tornado of fire.
This boosted the power of both spells and the golem had to seriously guard its whole body against it. Freya took this chance to cast another spell and this time it was a ninth grade spell called "Falling Thunder".
Immediately a large, bright bolt of lightning appeared just above the golem and fell on it. Because of all the fire on the golems body, the falling thunder created an explosion. After the dust from that explosion settled down, Freya saw that lightning was still crackling all over the golem's body and it was sitting on the ground in inactive state again. Freya had managed to defeat this golem quite easily.
