Just like the north gate, the north side of the city was also quite empty. There were a few houses here and there but Freya could feel that some of the houses were actually empty. But the more she moved away from the gates and went toward the centre of the city, the more populated the areas started to become. After walking for about 10 minutes, the desolate city was all gone and was replaced by a bustling one.
As Freya already had a good idea about the important location of the city, she started to go toward one such location. It was the adventurer guild. The adventurer guild of this world did exactly what all the other Adventurer guilds from various fantasy novels that Mori had read about did, they gave various jobs to adventurers which ranged from defeating powerful monsters to cleaning sewers.
If Freya wanted to master the Forbidden Grimoires, just studying it was not enough. There were various materials that she would need for those spells. So very soon she would need to go out on many adventures to find those materials. So becoming an adventurer was an easy choice for her.
As a witch and as she had the Forbidden Grimoires of Alchemy, she was also planning to join the Merchant guild. But for that she first needed to make some regular alchemical items. So she was planning to visit the merchant guild at a later date.

But if someone challenged the instructor without being strong enough then they needed to pay a hefty sum of money as punishment.
But that was not the case for the witches. Even the weakest among the witches were strong enough to reach the D rank. So obviously registering them as a copper rank was foolish. That was the reason why Monica asked this question. Hearing that Freya gently nodded her head and showed her the witch's crest as proof. Monica then told her that the guild master Leona herself would take care of her registration. So Freya was escorted to the guild master's room.
