Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 LH Group

"Grandma, if we come back, I want to tell you something," Ace said, attempting to ease the situation.

Carrel's curiosity was piqued. "Oh, what is it?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with interest.

"Not now, Grandma. I just want to ask you about something," Ace replied with a small smile.

Carrel nodded, intrigued. "Hmmm, fine. I'll have to swallow my curiosity, then."

As they sat together, Carrel turned to Ace with a thoughtful expression. "Well, I want to ask you something, or rather, ask a favor."

Ace tilted his head to the side, curious. "What is it, Beautiful Carrel?" he asked, scooping up a spoonful of soup and gesturing for her to open her mouth.

Carrel's heart softened at the gentle gesture, and she slowly opened her mouth with a smile. "Thank you," she said, savoring the soup.

"I want you to study here when you graduate," Carrel said, her eyes serious, as Ace scooped up another spoonful of soup.

Ace looked at her in surprise. "You want me to come here and attend college?"

Carrel nodded. "Yes."

Ace's expression turned playful. "Oh! I'll think about it. Now, let's eat. You're forgetting we're going out, and you shouldn't be angry. Otherwise, when you see something you want to eat, you'll devour it like a hungry eater – ham, ham, ham!"

Carrel burst into laughter at Ace's teasing words. "Hahaha!"

Ace smiled, pleased. "C'mon, my pretty Carrel, eat."

Carrel smiled, taking another spoonful of soup. "Okay, okay, fine. Let me eat."

After an hour, it was time to leave the magnificent Steve's mansion, the grand family home of Ace's grandparents. The real family name of Ace was Steve, a well-known family in Singapore and the business world.

As the car pulled up in front of the mansion, a red carpet stretched from the front door to the car, awaiting the arrival of the esteemed guests. Paparazzi lined up, cameras at the ready, eager to capture a glimpse of the aristocratic family.

As the car door of the luxurious Rolls-Royce Wraith opened, Carrel and her husband, Tom, stepped out, followed by Ace. The paparazzi snapped photos, buzzing with excitement.

"Wait, aren't they the owners of the LH Group?" one paparazzo asked.

"No, he's not the owner. I heard his son took over the company," another replied.

"No, that's in Hong Kong. This Thomas Steve is the owner of the bigger company here. I wonder what they're doing here now," a third paparazzo chimed in.

"Yes, me too. It's been a long time since they've been seen in public, especially at a party like this. I wonder what's changed," another paparazzo mused.
