Chapter 7 - Enemies Everywhere

"You're getting divorced?" Isabella demanded softly.

Maya was not too fast to give her an answer.

"She had heard the phone conversation already, so what's the point of hiding?" She said it inwardly and nodded in response to Isabella's demand.

"Maya!" Lexis screamed and opened her arms, engulfing her friend in a warm embrace immediately she got to the house.

Maya found solace in Lexis, who took her time to offer her all the consolation she needed. She overlooked the fact that it took her less time to get to her house; barely five minutes after their call. Isabella rolled her eyes at the duo as she left the room.

"Maya, what happened?" Lexis asked with a deep sense of concern.

"He cheated on me with his secretary, Lexis."

"I swear, I'm not giving him a penny to start life with. Damon toyed with my heart, Lexis." She lamented with a gentle sob.

Lexis squinted. Those words rang into her ear as though the divorce without alimony was for her. But she has to maintain a neutral expression to avoid Maya from perceiving anything.

"Are you sure of what you're saying?" She demanded softly.

"I wish I could do even worse than that!" Maya declared with her voice devoid of any pity.

"I'm sorry, dear. Cry no more, Maya. He doesn't deserve your tears."

Lexis stood by Maya's side, offering her consolation to speed her healing process.

Embracing her loveless life with thoughts on how to get her company back to its feet after the financial bankruptcy Damon had caused her, as informed by the company's accountant, she lay on the bed and felt a stinging headache.

Her eyes flapped open as the bright light from her phone screen when it rang intensified the pain of her already heavy and blurry eyes. She shut them immediately and reopened it before picking up the call.

She looked at the time on her phone screen and discovered it was past 9:00 p.m.

"Well, it's never too late to pick up a call from a stranger," she said inwardly and shrugged as she kept mute and waited for the stranger to make the first utterance before she would say anything.

"Hey, Maya Woods, I almost thought you would not pick up!" The deep masculine but romantic voice echoed from the other end of the phone.

With her knitted brows in confusion, she remained silent for a while as she tried to guess who owned the voice.

She did so because, in her nature, she dislikes it when she calls a friend or relative and the person jumps straight to asking who's on the line; hence, she wouldn't want to do that to someone else.

"D- Damian?" she uttered gently with many doubts if her guess was true.

"Wow! So easy for you to remember!" He said it with so much enthusiasm in his tone.

"About your offer, I just dropped a chat for you now. Let me know when you go through it so that we can finalize everything." He added.

Maya eagerly opened her WhatsApp to check the message.

"Meet me in room 201, Anex hotel, tonight. Then we can finalize it all." Maya huffed as she read the message.

"Is this a trap? Asking me to meet him in a hotel tonight despite those huge offers?" Maya mind wallowed in thoughts as her dizzy eyes got cleared of the sleep immediately.

"What are you afraid of, Maya? You're no longer married, remember! So you're not bound to move at night or do anything you like. Besides, this is about salvaging your company," a voice in her whispered.

Maya immediately stumbled out of bed, took a quick shower, and tiptoed out of the house. She tried as much as possible not to let Isabella and Lexis hear any noise from her movement.

"I know you wouldn't say 'No'," Mr. Damian smirked while he waited patiently for her to come.

"Speaking about the devil," he said with a smile as Lexis stepped in; immediately he had a thought of her.

The dim blue and colored light on the bulb added more spark to the room, making it perfect for a couple nights.

Plus his strong perfume, which smells like a fresh rose.

"Oh my gosh!" Maya exclaimed inwardly but maintained a neutral expression the moment she sighted his already standing, average-sized man in between his legs.

Damian was actually putting on his singlet with a boxer that was not tight on him.

Seeing the cleanliness of his pants, Maya couldn't hold it anymore but rested her body on him, with her tongue navigating its way to get locked into his, while her hands immediately reach down to feel the size of the c*ck that will find solace in her succulent coochie in no distant time.

Damian swirls his hands over her soft hair before he gradually raises her A-shaped gown and slides his hands into her thighs, using his fingers to thrust in and out of her tight punani.

Maya let out soft moans, screaming Damon's name.

Damian was not bothered by her screams. All he knows is that he is finally achieving his goal, and that is what matters the most.

Letting out soft moans after five agonizingly pleasurable moments of kissing and romance, Maya slightly pushed Damian to the bed, stroking his poles, until he finally got between her and spread her seductive thighs, slowly thrusting in and out of her at first before going wild.

"You're really tight, Maya," he whispered slowly with a radiant smile after he huffed, embracing her under the duvet on his chest.

"Gosh! What have you just done, maya? You just acted like a slut! Caught your husband cheating yesterday and today, another man has shifted your pants already!" She scolded herself, feeling like burying her face in shame, but she won't let Damian notice that she's ashamed of her actions already.

"So, back to why we're here. I'll resume the office immediately if you'll offer to pay me seven times my current earnings!" Damian declared.

"What?" Maya jerked up from his body.

"I think the highest I mentioned was paying you five times what you earn currently," she said slowly.

"Besides, the company would run dry if I should pay you such an amount, and you just finished having sex with me!" She added.

Damian's earlier calm face instantly turned scary with rage as she mentioned that.

"Are you trying to say that I took advantage of you?" He said it angrily.

"I don't mix business with pleasure, Maya. And that, I should be the one thinking of you taking advantage of me, because you started it all! At the company, you—"

"Stop! I've heard enough! Thank you for reminding me of how vulnerable I displayed myself." She said it with a hint of depression and anger.

"Fine, I'll pay you!" She declared.

"But, I was only trying to see how I can manage to revive the company out of bankruptcy!" She muttered softly.

"I know. That's why I need a payment that would be worth my stress of reviving your company from its long-term financial trouble," Damian admitted.

"S-so you know? How did you know that the company has long been bankrupt?" Alexis asked suspiciously.

She just learned of it after what happened yesterday. She had trusted Damon too much; then how come Damian knew that it has been happening for so long?

"Huh, did I just mention that?"

Maya nodded in silence, focusing a suspicious gaze at him.

"Com'on, who wouldn't know? It's just from my own perception. There's no way your husband would be cheating on you without stealing funds from the company as well," he said reluctantly.

"You've fallen for my trap already, Maya. This is my turn to finally take over your company as I've longed for; that's why I have my spies there, working for me," he smirked and said inwardly.
