"Victoria Hawthorne." She helped her in her rise to power," Lexis admitted.
"Victoria –Hawthorne?" Damon demanded coldly. His expression could tell it all; there was a suspicious look on his face the moment Lexis mentioned the name.
He remained silent for a while, neither expressing shock nor asking further questions.
"Damon, is there something wrong?" Lexis asked calmly.
"No. It's just that the name sounds familiar. Yeah, I think I've once heard about that name!" He admitted with doubts.
"Sure, you should."
"Remember the December bank robbery; Mrs. Hawthorne was behind the scene, and Maya was her major accomplice," Lexis admitted.
"What? And they never got arrested?"
"Trust Mrs. Hawthorne; she used part of the money to settle the authorities and also used part of it to help Maya's rise to power."
