"You know what? Just forget about it. He can't do anything! Plus, he doesn't deserve anything after all he's done to you," Lexis suggested with a hint of anger and pity for her friend.
Maya looked at her with a grateful countenance, and within the twinkle of an eye, her arms were wide open, embracing her friend in a tight hug.
"Thank you, Lexis. I don't know what would have become of me in this period of divorce if not for your support," she admitted.
"Maya," Isabella called out in a hoarse voice.

She knows her sister well enough. Isabella would only sound as such when there's a problem.
