Chapter 6: The Crimson Wolf and the Abyss
Axenfield's voice resonated through the ritual chamber, his presence commanding attention. A dark, black aura swirled around him like an abysmal flame. Two portals materialized beside him, and a wolf and a mysterious woman clad in black emerged.
"I am Moraxella Axenfield, the youngest son of the legendary Emperor Moraxella Levion," he declared. "Heir to the Blaze Empire, leader of the fallen world Atlas and the Crimson Wolf. I have come to seek vengeance."
Mora's blade gleamed in the dim light, pointed squarely at Ryker.
Ryker's surprise gave way to a sneer. "Ah, how could I forget the Crimson Wolf, the myth who slew thousands of our men in the Abyss war at just 12 years old? You led the resistance, didn't you, young pup?" Ryker taunted. "Tell me, how does it feel to have lost your kingdom to the Demon of Gluttony? I assure you, Sir Gula savored devouring your family the most. Your sisters and brothers begged for mercy."
Axenfield's face twisted in rage. "Enough!" he bellowed, swinging his sword horizontally, ready to cleave through everything in his path.
Morwen intervened, claws extending from her fingertips, but the wolf bit her hand, only to be struck and dispersed as black fog. The mysterious woman kicked Morwen aside.
"I'll be your opponent," she said, drawing her short swords.
Axenfield nodded in gratitude and unleashed a sharp blade aura, cutting down the red-hooded figures surrounding Ryker. However, Ryker halted the aura with a raised finger.
"You're no match for me, Crimson Wolf," Ryker sneered.
Axenfield's eyes blazed. "We'll see about that."
Elian and Ava watched the chaos unfold, their eyes locked on the battle.
Ava tugged Elian's arm. "We need to escape, now. The guards will be here any moment."
Elian nodded, glancing back at Axenfield. For a moment, he wished Mora was by his side, leading their forces as the general.
With a deep breath, Elian turned to flee alongside Ava.
As they disappeared into the shadows, the sound of clashing steel and Axenfield's fierce battle cry echoed through the tower.
