Chapter 12 - Wind Blade

"Boss, that's the Wind Hare!"

Aden and Drak'nira crawled into a bush.

On the other side of the bush, deep in the forest, there was a spot illuminated by sunlight.

Golden sunlight shone down from above, brightening that patch of the forest.

In that bright spot, a giant white rabbit was basking in the sun.

Its size was enormous.

Just lying there, its shoulder height already exceeded two meters.

[Wind Hare]

[Level: 17]

[Strength: 19]

[Defense: 17]

[Agility: 27]

[Mana: 21]

[Wind Blade: LV2]

The attribute values were average, but the mana was high.

A Goblin stealthily approached the Wind Hare from behind in the forest.

"Ha!"

It suddenly leaped out with a loud shout.

The Wind Hare was startled and jumped up in fright.

The space in front of it distorted.

In the next moment, an almost transparent wind blade shot out.

"Sss!"

A large tree twenty meters away was suddenly split in half, collapsing to the ground with a thunderous noise.

The startled Wind Hare dashed around in the forest like a headless fly.

"Ha!"

Just in front of the rampaging Wind Hare, a Goblin suddenly emerged from the bushes.

This startled the Wind Hare again.

Its huge body jumped up in panic and fled in another direction.

A large tree blocked its path, and it collided with it head-on.

"Bang!"

A "bang" was heard, accompanied by the sound of breaking bones.

The huge body of the Wind Hare fell to the ground, twitching.

It soon became still.

Aden, witnessing this scene, was speechless.

There really were creatures foolish enough to kill themselves by colliding.

"Wind Hare, Wind Hare!"

As soon as the Wind Hare died, the Goblins quickly ran out of their hiding places.

They chanted excitedly, salivating around the Wind Hare.

"What a sharp cut, is this the power of magic?"

Looking at the smooth cut of the tree stump in front of him, Aden clicked his tongue in amazement.

A tree that two people could barely hug was just cut off.

And there was even a half-meter-deep gash on a tree behind it.

The power of Wind Blade was truly terrifying.

"Move aside!"

Drak'nira arrived at the Wind Hare's carcass.

With a shout, the surrounding Goblin minions scattered in fear.

Drak'nira raised his sharp claws and tore at the Wind Hare's belly.

Soon, a strong smell of blood filled the air.

Smelling the sweet scent of blood, the surrounding Goblin minions looked intoxicated.

They drooled, with only greed in their eyes.

Drak'nira exerted a great deal of effort to extract a heart larger than his head.

Holding the heart, Drak'nira ran towards the boss with a sycophantic expression.

"Boss, boss, this is your favorite heart to eat!"

These days, Drak'nira had long figured out the boss's preferences.

The boss loved to eat the hearts of prey.

Aden took the heart from Drak'nira's hand and took a big bite.

The warm flesh and blood slid down his throat, making Aden's eyes narrow slightly.

The heart was indeed delicious, fitting his current taste.

"Boss, I'm going to eat the meat then!"

Aden waved his hand.

Drak'nira quickly turned and ran greedily towards the Wind Hare's carcass.

He leaped and dove into the Wind Hare's belly, feasting on the tastiest innards.

After a while, Drak'nira got up, full and content.

As Drak'nira left, the Goblins who had been waiting for a long time eagerly pounced on the carcass.

Dozens of Goblins feasted, and the huge Wind Hare's body was devoured at a rate visible to the naked eye.

**Acquired Skill "Wind Blade"**

The system's prompt made Aden grin.

The skill he had been dreaming of was finally in his hands.

Glancing slightly to the side, Aden looked at a nearby tree stump.

"Wind Blade!"

The space in front of Aden suddenly distorted.

A blast of air exploded, and a visible transparent wind blade shot out.

"Sss!"

A tree stump more than ten meters away was sent flying with splinters.

A half-meter-deep gash appeared on the tree stump.

Aden's face turned pale, and the dizziness in his head caused his body to collapse to the ground.

"Is it because my mana attribute is too low?"

Struggling to get up from the ground, Aden looked at his dazed head.

Aden thought of his pitiful mana attribute.

The mana attribute must be greatly related to magical skills.

Perhaps the side effects of using magic were due to his own lack of mana.

"Boss, you... what's wrong with you?"

Malphas's voice suddenly rang out from behind, which startled Aden.

Aden got up and stood, turning to glare at him.

Malphas shrank his neck and took two steps back with a fearful expression.

"Full?"

Malphas quickly nodded.

Patted his bulging belly and wiped his mouth.

Rubbing his somewhat dizzy head again, Aden shook his head.

It seemed that the next time he got a rating reward, he had to choose mana.

If the mana attribute doesn't improve, Wind Blade is a waste skill.

The disturbance in the forest only lasted for less than half an hour.

Half an hour later, only a pool of blood remained where the Wind Hare's body had been.

"Let's go, move!"

Urged by Drak'nira, the hunting party continued on.

Three hours later, in a certain forest.

The forest was dim and somewhat damp.

A thick layer of fallen leaves covered the ground.

Due to the water accumulation under the leaves, it was soft to step on.

Walking in the forest, Aden looked around.

This forest seemed denser than the previous one.

Looking up, the dense foliage was stacked layer upon layer, without a single ray of sunlight.

The air was filled with a smell of decay.

"Boss, this is the territory of Ghost spiders, we have to leave here!"

Drak'nira suddenly discovered something and ran towards Aden with a look of panic.

"Ghost spiders? Are they very powerful?"

Drak'nira nodded vigorously.

"Ghost spiders are second-order Warcraft, and there are many, many of them!"

Aden looked into the depths of the forest ahead.

"Make them stop!"

Drak'nira quickly turned and stopped the Goblin minions.

The Goblins in the forest looked at each other, wondering why their boss wanted them to stop.

On the other side, Aden came to a spider web.

The spider web was large, connecting two trees.

Judging by the color, it should have been abandoned by the Ghost spiders, with a grayish hue and covered in dust.

Aden touched the spider web with his hand.

The spider web suddenly trembled and made a "buzzing" sound.

The spider webs in the canopy also trembled, making the same sound.

The "buzzing" sound quickly spread into the depths of the forest.

His face slightly changed, Aden quickly pulled off a piece of the spider web.

"Let's get out of here!"

After dropping that sentence, Aden ran back the way he came.
