Chereads / Reborn as a Goblin: I Have a Life Simulation System / Chapter 14 - Aden decided to leave the choice to Drak'nira

Chapter 14 - Aden decided to leave the choice to Drak'nira

As the Goblin minions feasted, Aden returned to the puddle to wash the blood from his body.

Looking down at the machete lying on the ground beside him, Aden's face showed a sense of novelty.

The machete was not made of iron.

Its main body was wood, with a sharp stone blade embedded in it.

The stone blade was coated with some rotten mud, making it look like rust.

There were signs of grinding on the stone blade, making it very smooth.

This stone tool was much stronger than the sticks in the hands of the Goblins.

Shifting his gaze slightly, Aden looked at the water that had turned red.

The first battle left his whole body trembling.

Although it was dangerous, the feeling of surging blood made him addicted.

The smell of blood further ignited the fire in his heart.

Although he had a human consciousness, his mentality was gradually turning into that of a Goblin.

This was not a bad thing.

One could not survive in this world with a human mentality.

"Boss, we're done eating, they will come back, we need to leave!"

Drak'nira ran over, looking at his boss by the puddle with adoration.

His boss was still an ordinary Goblin, yet so strong it was suffocating.

The mighty lizardmen became weak trash in front of his boss.

Aden carefully placed the spider silk into the cloth bag at his waist.

"Let's go, head back to the river!"

The future predicted by SimLife had already changed.

From this moment on, the future was uncertain.

Aden did not plan to use the remaining SimLife right away.

At least the journey to the river should be safe.

"Let's go, move it!"

Under Drak'nira's barking, the well-fed Goblins, with their big bellies, climbed to their feet.

The battle with the lizardmen had been devastating for the hunting party.

In less than five minutes, more than thirty Goblins were killed.

The entire hunting party was now down to less than thirty Goblins.

"Malphas, are you dead or not!"

Walking through the dim forest, Aden suddenly shouted.

A Goblin ahead of him jolted and ran over to Aden with a sycophantic expression.

"Boss, I'm still alive!"

Aden looked Malphas up and down.

Malphas had grown stronger, his body a full size larger.

His level had also risen to 8, not far from evolving into a large Goblin.

After eating the bodies of the lizardmen, the other Goblins were also growing rapidly.

"Follow me!"

Malphas grinned and scurried to follow behind Aden.

It was much safer to be by the boss's side than to walk in front.

"Boss, if we go back like this, the chief will eat me."

Drak'nira approached Aden with a dejected face.

His face was full of unease, and his heart was very frightened.

Aden glanced at the few remaining Goblin minions.

Goblins were just too weak.

Sixty-plus Goblins facing a dozen lizardmen were cut down in an instant.

"Drak'nira, why didn't we detect the lizardmen's tracks in advance?"

The lizardmen suddenly charged out of the forest.

This indicated that the lizardmen had used some method to conceal their scent and approach them quietly.

"Boss, the lizardmen smeared some rotten mud on their bodies, and that mud smelled like the swamp."

Aden's face revealed an understanding expression.

So that was it, the lizardmen indeed had smeared some black mud on themselves.

It seemed the lizardmen were well acquainted with Goblins.

They knew Goblins had keen senses of smell, making it difficult to approach stealthily.

That's why they used rotten mud to cover their own scent.

Before long, the sky gradually darkened.

To distance themselves from the danger of the lizardmen, Aden led the remaining Goblins back to the riverbank overnight.

That night, the forest beside the darkness was quiet.

Silver moonlight spread over the earth, slightly dispelling the darkness.

Suddenly! There was some movement in the riverbank forest.

A group of dark figures darted out of the forest and stopped on the riverbank.

Under the moonlight, those dark figures were a group of green-skinned, ugly creatures.

"System, start SimLife!"

For the sake of his own life, Aden used his second SimLife of the month.

Under the moonlight, Aden stood by the surging river.

**SimLife Started**

**Tonight, you have brought your Goblin minions to the riverbank, looking at the sparkling water surface, you ponder your future life**

**Before dawn, what do you intend to do, please make the following choices**

**1. You decide to cross the river overnight to evade the threat of the lizardmen and return to the nest**

**2. You know that returning to the nest will make the angry Xylobane see you as food, you decide to go downstream to the human territory**

**3. Do nothing, rest on the riverbank for the night, and become a wandering Goblin**

Three options again, three choices for future life.

The first option was reasonable.

Staying on the riverbank was dangerous; the lizardmen might be pursuing them.

The hunting party had suffered heavy losses, and returning to the nest was the most reasonable choice.

But the reasonable choice was not necessarily the correct one.

Returning to the nest like this would mean Drak'nira would die, and these Goblins might be implicated as well.

The second option was a more moderate choice.

As long as they went to the human territory and captured a few humans to take back, the crisis would be over.

Although the hunting party had suffered heavy losses, it was still possible to stealthily capture a few ordinary human civilians.

However, the second option was also the most dangerous.

It was entirely a matter of luck, and one might be gone at any time.

The third option, becoming a wandering Goblin, was also a good choice.

As long as there was enough food, the existing Goblins could break away and develop a new tribe on their own.

"Drak'nira, go downstream to continue to the human territory, or cross the river to return to the nest, or wander to avoid being seen as food when going back, choose one!"

In the end, Aden decided to leave the choice to Drak'nira.

After all, these Goblins might not die if they went back.

But Drak'nira was different; if it went back like this, it would definitely be eaten by the angry Xylobane.

Drak'nira's ugly face twisted into a knot.

The boss let it choose, which made it very difficult.

It didn't know how to choose.

If it chose to wander, would the boss abandon it?

"Boss, I don't want to die, I... I can't go back."

This was Drak'nira's answer and also Drak'nira's choice.

"Very well, then we shall wander and establish a new nest."

Drak'nira's choice was also the one Aden wanted.

Going to the human territory was too dangerous; wandering would allow for greater freedom to grow stronger.

There were too many variables in returning to the nest.

Moreover, the daily life of hunting for food was not what Aden desired.

"System, the third option!"

**You choose to wander, a new Goblin nest appears in the forest on the north bank**

**You lead the Goblin minions upstream along the river**

**You choose a dense forest as your new home, a new species of forest Goblin emerges**
