Chapter 34: Fortune Favors the Bold!

With terrifying speed, Kushina Uzumaki suddenly appeared in front of the Cloud Village ninja forces, blocking their escape route.

As the shockwave sent trees and debris flying, the ninjas frantically formed defensive techniques to protect themselves.

Uchiha Yosuke quickly summoned an earth-style wall for defense, while other ninjas followed suit or took cover behind defensive techniques.
"What… What kind of monster is this?!"
Hidden behind the earth wall, Shikaku Nara looked on in horror.
Though they were heirs of noble Leaf clans and had heard of jinchuriki, they had never witnessed such destructive power in action.
"Is this… a jinchuriki?"
Namikaze Minato was frozen in shock. This devastating power was beyond anything they'd ever known!
Even Uchiha Yosuke, who knew of the immense power shinobi could wield, was visibly shaken when seeing it firsthand.

Tsunade's voice shouted in alarm. Kushina, now in her miniature Nine-Tails form, was creating a dense, black chakra sphere in her mouth.
In an instant, the Tailed Beast Bomb shrank, compressing chakra so intensely that the ground around it caved in.

Kushina unleashed the Tailed Beast Bomb toward the fleeing mercenaries.

For the first time, Orochimaru had seen the Nine-Tails' power, and greed flickered in his golden eyes.
"You five squads, go check for survivors."
Orochimaru couldn't waste this opportunity.
Some of the mercenaries might have survived if they were on the explosion's edge or used jutsu to escape just in time.
After the blast, Kushina's figure emerged, but the fourth tail had vanished, and she was back to her three-tailed form, her chakra depleted and her skin red from chakra burns.
"This is bad! If Kushina runs out of chakra, it could be fatal!"
Tsunade shouted, panic in her eyes.
Damn it! I miscalculated!
She had hoped this would help Kushina grow and gain closure, but she hadn't expected her to go berserk.
Once the Nine-Tails chakra is exhausted, Kushina will suffer the same fate as someone whose tailed beast is forcibly extracted—she'll die.

The snakes binding Kushina started disintegrating into vapor.
"Captain Tsunade!"
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out as a shadow shot toward her—a branch flying through the air. Tsunade stepped on it to leap back, redirecting her position. Looking to the source, she shouted:
"Kid, this fight is beyond you! Fall back to a safe distance!"
The person who threw the branch was Uchiha Yosuke. Hearing Tsunade's reprimand, his expression remained steadfast.
In this world of shinobi where strength is everything, this was his chance to prove himself to everyone and embody the true Will of Fire.

He had the Sage Body and the best healer in the ninja world—Tsunade. As long as he was still breathing, he could push his limits!
