Chapter 37
Chapter 37: The Uchiha Don't Look at Ninjutsu Scrolls, They Look at History!
**Land of Grass, Konoha Camp.**
"Kid, you really have guts, actually removing all restraints from the Cursed Seal."
In a medical tent filled with equipment, Tsunade sneered, replacing an IV bag with a casual flick.
Lying on the hospital bed, Uchiha Yosuke had a pained expression, his face twisted with discomfort.
"Tsunade-taichou, my whole body's cells are aching, and there's even a burning sensation."
He wasn't lying; the first time he fully activated the second state of the Cursed Seal, the damage to his body was intense.
Yet the power boost at that moment was astonishing. Even now, recalling it made Uchiha Yosuke shiver with a strange fear.
In some ways, he felt akin to Sasuke during his defection to the Valley of the End. The same curse mark, the same Uchiha bloodline—only with a few minor differences.
He had two tomoe, Sasuke had three. He had access to family resources, mastering various ninjutsu and the clan's swordsmanship, whereas Sasuke, due to the clan's destruction, had a limited ninjutsu repertoire. At this stage, their strengths were roughly comparable.
"You really have no regard for your own life," Tsunade muttered, reviewing the medical report, a look of deep interest in her amber eyes.
"Your entire cellular structure has been invaded by this power. It might be adapting partially because of your own bloodline ability, which is allowing some level of compatibility…"
In her field of expertise, Tsunade's eyes shone with excitement, almost as if Yosuke were an invaluable experimental subject.
"Luckily, this time you absorbed a significant amount of special chakra from being near Kushina, which sped up the fusion of this power."
Realizing this, Tsunade was secretly shocked. Her grandfather, the First Hokage's chakra, could actually be absorbed by this kid?
She knew exactly how unique that chakra was—it was the special chakra of Sage Mode, which had been drawn to Kushina's seal.
Could it be that this kid's bloodline, or maybe the power of the Cursed Seal, was somehow linked to Sage Chakra?
In the realm of specialties, expertise matters, and Tsunade, who understood one of the forces involved, quickly deduced a probable direction.
"Is that so? Guess I got lucky."
Yosuke feigned ignorance, smiling outwardly but thinking to himself that the power must indeed have been the First Hokage's.
The First Hokage's power truly was immense—even just a bit absorbed through the Cursed Seal had greatly aided his bloodline's fusion.
"Once you finish this drip, rest for a couple of days, and you'll fully recover. But don't overuse that power!"
Tsunade's expression grew solemn as she emphasized the last point.
"You should understand the risks of Bloodline Disease. Overuse could be fatal, even beyond my ability to help."
Not only bloodline powers, but even excessive chakra depletion could pose life-threatening risks.
Respectfully, Yosuke nodded at Tsunade's caution, saying, "Thank you, Captain Tsunade. But…what about Kushina?"
Since returning, he hadn't seen Uzumaki Kushina.
Upon hearing this, Tsunade's expression turned complex before she concealed it, waving her hand nonchalantly.
"She returned to the village. She's fine—it's the Uzumaki resilience, after all. But for now, she's not suited for the front lines."
Yosuke nodded quietly. It made sense. Kushina's Nine-Tails transformation had likely already spread, making it inappropriate for her to stay on the battlefield.
"While two bloodlines are a burden, they're also a source of strength. This latest fusion of the Cursed Seal and your own bloodline has shortened the time needed for full compatibility by a couple of years. With the boost from that unique chakra, the fusion should complete within three or four years instead of the six or seven it would have taken."
Tsunade raised an eyebrow, explaining Yosuke's current state to him.
"Kid, you're really lucky. And with your Sharingan evolving to two tomoe, combining two bloodlines, your chakra reserves already exceed most bloodline users. Within the next two or three months, your body should enter a growth phase."
Two-tomoe Sharingan! Was it because of his comrade's danger?
Tsunade pondered this quietly, unable to hide a trace of envy toward the power of two bloodlines.
Bloodline ninjas gain immediate power when they awaken or evolve. For Yosuke, the next two or three months would mean a surge in strength.
Yosuke couldn't help twitching with exasperation. It was one thing for others to be envious, but Tsunade?
Despite her usual display of brute strength and medical ninjutsu, he knew the sheer amount of chakra stored in Tsunade's body.
In Konoha, excluding the Jinchūriki, even the Third Hokage at his peak couldn't compare to her chakra levels.
Tsunade wasn't just anyone—she was the granddaughter of the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama!
The Senju clan had always been known for their vast chakra reserves, and Tsunade was no exception.
"Kid, has that old man Setsuna been feeding you intel again?"
Casually, Tsunade dropped this line, causing Yosuke's expression to change.
It seemed casual, but her gaze was probing, testing him.
"On the battlefield, you're so eager to throw yourself into danger. You're a true Uchiha!"
This made Yosuke sigh in relief. Tsunade thought he was risking his life to bury information on the field.
A fortunate misunderstanding!
Taking a deep breath, Yosuke lay back on the bed and started speaking.
"Tsunade-taichou, as you know, I now hold a position that grants me access to clan information, including records on the Uchiha, the village, and the Second Hokage's experiments."
"These days, I often ponder the relationship between the Uchiha and the Senju, and finally, I've realized something: identity!"
"Identity?"
Tsunade raised her brow, intrigued, though she maintained a neutral listener's stance, crossing her long legs and observing him calmly.
Yosuke appeared lost in a philosophical revelation.
"The feud between Uchiha and Senju, the isolation since Konoha's founding—all of it makes sense. I won't ignore the things the Uchiha have done."
"But in the span of two Hokages, the once mighty Senju clan, which once dominated the ninja world, has quietly fallen into the same predicament as the Uchiha!"
Tsunade was left speechless, her lips slightly parted in surprise.
This kid—he wasn't flipping through ninjutsu scrolls for power; he was delving into history instead. Unbelievable.
Of course, she was aware of these things, but they were left unspoken.
Yosuke, however, looked like he'd discovered some grand truth.
"It's all because of identity! The feud between Uchiha and Senju, and now the issues between Senju and the Hokage—it's all rooted in family, in identity."
"But imagine if the Hokage were a ninja without a clan?"
A look of fervor crossed Yosuke's face as he gazed at Tsunade.
"Tsunade-sama, I finally understand why the Senju's tolerance extended to considering White Fang as the Fourth Hokage—because he carried no clan burdens. If he became Hokage, it would establish a balance among all clans and prevent any from being isolated."
Wow!
Tsunade was stunned. Were they really that noble? She didn't recall it being so lofty.
Having White Fang as Hokage was simply beneficial to everyone.
Yet, oddly enough, his logic did make some sense.
The Hatake clan wasn't a clan in the usual sense but a simple ninja family. In power, White Fang would naturally need the support of the clans and commoner ninja to maintain balance.
