Once again, I heard the front door lock click as it was unlocked. I jumped back again, but this time I didn't hide. I just turned away, still holding one of his hands, resting it on the couch. A second later the front door opened and dad walked in.
He walked past us and glanced at Henry. He nodded at us then went into the kitchen, where you could already hear the sounds of mom cooking. Me and Henry sat there for another little while, watching TV, not attempting anything again. Being 0-2 in just a couple minutes was pretty disheartening, but it wouldn't be the last chance.
A couple minutes later the front door lock clicked again. Kevin came home and joined us on the couch, sitting on the opposite end of us. After sitting there for a few minutes I decided I wanted to sit more comfortably. If my family was going to constantly interrupt us, I was just going to do what I wanted.
