Mark's POV:
We had been planning this for a couple of weeks now, waiting painstakingly patiently, for the perfect moment to strike. And now, with Lucy and Tristan out and away from the palace, I couldn't think of a better opportunity or chance.
The air was lit with anticipation and a little excitement as Zara, Thorne and I gathered in the secret chamber per usual. Our faces were lit only by the faint glow of the lamp in a corner of our room.
"Alright, let's go over the plan one last time," Thorne said, his voice low and commanding. "Zara love, you'll sneak into Lucy's chambers.
Once there, you'll plant our little evidence and leave without either leaving a trace or being detected by anybody"
Zara nodded, a sly evil smile spreading across her face. "It'll be done perfectly. I've been watching the guards, observing their routines and rotations. I know exactly when, where, and how to slip on and out unnoticed."
