Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

"The afterlife is truly peaceful. I am no longer in pain. Why did I fight so much to be alive if death is this comfortable. My body doesn't hurt anymore, the air smells so clean and fragrant am sure the environment would be beautiful going by that. Am not sure what will happen to the kingdom and my family but am sure they will live on and find a way to survive. As long as they get help from the empire it wouldn't be that bad . Some will definitely survive and that's enough for me." Ruberno's thoughts drifted as he thought of so many things.

This was Gray's small little world and so he could make anything with just a thought , or identify the origin of anything inside it, as long as it had an origin. The con was the complex things he conjured or imagined could not be taken out of this space. This gave him the ability to view the peorsn I front of him, as he e looked at the status of the now middle aged man .

Name :Ruberno White

Strength: peak rank 8 knight

lifespan: 75 years

affinity : wind

affiliation : Evergreen kingdom

Status : Healthy, Able to attempt a breakthrough to rank 9 with 70% confidence

Looking at Ruberno's status he knew that his premise was true. The potion could help people with their lifespan running out. Giving them a body in it's prime and brimming with vitality which could allow them a new life . Since they were dying, their disappearance would not cause too much of a stir and he gained loyal surbodinates in return.

The premise of this to work would be they were at the peak of the class they were in and with the accumulation and determination they had, breaking through would be easy for such people. Only those who had seen death creeping slowly towards them would understand how precious life truly was and strive to remain alive. The ability to heal all their hidden injuries would make it seem he had someone above rank ten as his backer. This would be the detterent he would use for now and later he would have someway to keep them in check. Hidden injuries were difficult to heal especially those that had lasted unhealed for a long time and on top of that, the added vitality was not something that could be accomplished by rank 10 or maybe even the class above rank 10 could not accomplish it.

This begs the question was it necessary to go to such lengths to get himself followers. The vial only had roughly 25 drops in total. He had used five for himself, three for Ruberno and was only left with roughly seventeen drops in the vial. Using six drops to gain two more high ranks he would still be left with enough to raise two people back from the dead to be used in emergencies. This was how to use resources at hand to get benefits for oneself . Holding on to the vial and trying to raise high rank class people would take time and cost much more.

"Your awake no need to hide your safe here." Gray's voice came out deeper than it usually was as he erased his aura completely. He now seemed unfathomable. Like staring at an endless abyss. Ruberno opened his eyes to what he could only consider heaven. His surrounding was beautiful almost as if it was plucked from a painting. A palace that was full of majesty and elegance was seen in the distance that outclassed the royal palace in the capital by light-years to the point there was no point of comparison and among the sea of flowers a stone throw away was a boy, if he could be considered a boy looking at the flowers. He had a white mask on and silver waist length hair flowing down his shoulder.

Even without seeing his face he seemed like someone who could make even elves run for their money. As he looked he noticed the boy or male figure was unreadable to him almost as if he didn't exist. His surrounding was devoid of mana almost like his existence replelled mana . He suddenly tensed up as this being was someone unfathomable.

Everything has mana even the dead. Mana encompassed all of existence. That was the reason for mana affinity, which was a specialization of mana, a somewhat part of the whole. Common affinities such as wind, water, earth ,fire and their derivatives were known by all who had touched upon meditation. Though some derivatives were rarer than others such as gravity being more rare as compared to ice. Still they could be found just that they were harder to find .

Some mana affinities were even more rare than these such as light, dark, nature undead, or even holy affinities. People with such affinities were empire level talents that only organizations with close to empire level strength could have and protect from others. Affinities like time and space were more like divine level talents that would be give you status and protection by those empire ancestors who had unfathomable power and even then a person repelling mana was so rare that it was either some unspeakable secret or so rare that it didn't even count as legend and for someone with such a physique or affinity had to have an unfathomable background or was an unfathomable existence. The person Infront of him seemed to be the former.
