War leads to advancement of civilization and this was why war and conflict was necessary for society to advance. The sudden beast tide made Gray realize that he needed personal strength as depending on shadow all the time would eventually to his death. The system missions of forming an organization and having a loyal surbodinate would only be completed when Ruberno finished breaking through and he accepted his loyalty and servitude which would be done in two weeks. This was the condition he had set to motivate him more and set a certain precedence for the future.
As he layed on his bed contemplating what to do he suddenly remembered he was able to meditate as his mana core was repaired. Void, this was an affinity he had not heard of and he did not know how to cultivate it. If it was a common affinity he would already acquired one technique through shadow as the current system did not seem to have a means to get one but maybe he needed to complete a mission first to really access the system functionality.

The void affinity is an affinity that touches on the basic elements that create a world and a universe. It is nothingness and the origin of existence at the same time.Cultivating the void entails understanding time, space and nothingness. As he scanned his memories to look for anything to use as reference he remembed the vague memory of him floating when he lost consciousness there was nothing but him and space.
Though not perfect it still had in some sense all three of what he needed; passage of time, space and infinite nothingness. He entered the system space and into the palace where he sat down and a golden card appeared in his hand. With a little intent the card shattered into a bright light and he quickly thought back to that time when he was floating in a cast sea of emptiness.
What is time? what is space? what is nothingness? This questions played in his head almost like a record player on repeat. Slowly epiphanies burst out in his mind as he slowly inched towards his true goal. He sat there muttering inaudible gibber gabber and he seemed to fall into confusion from time to time but they did not last long. An hour and a half elapsed and he had reached a thick wall in his journey, combining time, space and nothingness. This was the final step.
As he contemplated over it again and again he could not figure it out. Every angle he took seemed to run into a road block further down it and he had taken numerous roads and looked at it from all angles but he still couldn't seem to get it. Twenty minutes passed as he made countless attempts to touch upon a supreme path failed and suddenly as if the floodgates opened in his mind he suddenly froze in place neither talking nor moving.
Just like death begets life and life begets death the continuity of existence in a seamless endless loop was somewhat like the void. Nothingness begets space, space begets time and time begets nothingness. All along he had tried to stuff them into one box and mix them with one another to for one but that was his mistake. The void is formed by the continuity of these elements. Their seamless continuity was the progenitor of the void.
The moment he understood this. The Divine continent shook. A tremor that was only felt by supreme existences. Was it of fear or joy remained uncertain but the thing that was certain was it unfathomable in of itself for it to shake the whole continent. Every being tried to locate and pinpoint who exactly had touched upon a taboo but all of them were unable to like a veil was placed infront of their eyes.
In a place unknown to majority a boy who seemed to be in his teenage years with a terrifying aura that distorted the space around him was in meditation. He opened his eyes and peered into the void as if he was looking at time itself. His eyes seemed to speak of life and it's vistitudes and had seen eons."Sigh someone has touched a supreme path. How long has it been. Will this bring prosperity or chaos?is this a blessing or a curse. This unpredictability is worrisome. Let it be, let it be.There is balance to all things and all things are balanced. Let it be." He muttered under his breath and closed his eyes to continue his seclusion.
The void is everything and nothing at the same time. He now understood this. As he slowly levitated off of the ground the whole pocket dimension shook. Ruberno who was in his seclusion opened his eyes and saw a vortex of mana pour into the palace in the distance. Shock and determination were his thoughts as he looked into the distance.
There is nothing in the void but chaos. Chaos is the progenitor of all things but also the end of all thinngs. As the mana got close to Gray's body it was broken down into chaos, into disorder , into nothingness and absorbed into his body subconsciously. This lasted for an hour and when he gently sat back down again, a thin space close to his body formed. Almost as if he was not to mix with the world. He had formed a void around his body. The infinite yet finite nothingness that surrounded his body gave him a terrifying aura .
