As the day progressed, Fowad decided it was time for a real test.
Their morning training had gone well, but he wanted to see how Foxy's new strength and his own enhanced abilities would fare against a true opponent.
He scanned the forest, recalling the creatures he had seen during his hunts.
A specific beast came to mind a wildcat of the normal level, known for its sharp reflexes and stealthy movements.
This particular beast was elusive, but he had caught glimpses of it stalking through the shadows on more than one occasion.
With Foxy at his side, Fowad set off, his senses alert, scanning the forest for any sign of the wildcat.
Fattey, as usual, was perched on his shoulder, his head swiveling in every direction as he watched the forest with keen interest.
After nearly an hour of careful tracking, they found their target. The wildcat was crouched low in the underbrush, its sleek body hidden by the snow and foliage, its emerald eyes glinting with predatory focus.
The beast was large, with powerful limbs and a long, sinuous tail that twitched with anticipation as it observed them.
Fowad felt a surge of excitement mixed with caution. This wildcat was no simple opponent; it was agile, cunning, and quick, perfectly suited for ambushes.
He signaled to Foxy, who crouched low, her eyes locked onto the wildcat, her body coiled and ready.
The wildcat made the first move, lunging at them with a speed that left Fowad momentarily stunned. Its claws gleamed as they slashed through the air, aiming for his chest.
Fowad barely dodged, feeling the sting of the wind from its swipe. Foxy responded immediately, leaping at the wildcat and aiming for its flank, but the wildcat twisted, dodging her attack with fluid ease.
The battle was fierce, the wildcat darting in and out of the shadows, attacking from unexpected angles with a skill that forced Fowad and Foxy to stay on high alert.
Every time they thought they had an opening, the wildcat would slip away, its movements swift and unpredictable.
But Fowad was determined. He quickly realized that they needed to outthink their opponent rather than rely on brute strength.
He communicated his plan to Foxy through subtle signals, positioning themselves to herd the wildcat into a narrow gap between two trees.
The wildcat lunged again, but this time, Fowad and Foxy were ready. They dodged, forcing the wildcat into the tight space where its movements were restricted.
Foxy darted in, her two tails a blur as she attacked with newfound ferocity, her claws striking the wildcat's exposed flank.
The wildcat snarled, twisting to retaliate, but Fowad struck from the other side, his knife glinting as he aimed for its shoulder.
The wildcat staggered, momentarily disoriented as it realized it was outmatched. Fowad seized the opportunity, delivering a decisive blow that brought the creature down.
Breathless and bruised, Fowad and Foxy stood over the defeated wildcat, their bodies aching but victorious.
They had faced a formidable foe and come out stronger, their teamwork and strategy proving invaluable in the battle.
As they caught their breath, Fowad felt a rush of pride and gratitude for Foxy. They had overcome a new challenge together, and each battle only strengthened their bond and their understanding of each other's abilities.
After the intense fight, Fowad took a moment to sit and recover, resting against a tree with Foxy beside him.
Fattey, who had observed the entire battle from a safe distance, fluttered over and landed on Fowad's shoulder, chirping in excitement.
Fowad chuckled, reaching up to scratch Fattey's head.
"Enjoyed the show, did you?" he teased.
Fattey responded with a series of chirps that almost sounded like words, his head tilting as though he were trying to communicate.
Fowad frowned, watching Fattey closely. There was an unusual intelligence in the bird's gaze, a level of understanding that went beyond anything he had seen in ordinary beasts.
It was almost as though Fattey could comprehend his emotions, his intentions.
Curious, Fowad reached into his satchel and pulled out a small fragment of a beast core he had saved. He held it out to Fattey, wondering if the bird would accept it.
Fattey examined the core, his head cocked to one side, then chirped softly before nipping at the core with his beak.
But instead of consuming it like Foxy did, Fattey merely absorbed a faint energy from it, his feathers momentarily glowing with a soft, warm light.
The energy transfer was subtle, but Fowad noticed the change.
Fattey's feathers seemed to glow brighter, and his small body pulsed with a quiet strength, as though the core energy had resonated with him in a unique way.
Fowad watched, fascinated. It was clear that Fattey absorbed beast energy differently from Foxy.
Perhaps it was due to his mysterious origins, or maybe he possessed a rare affinity that hadn't yet revealed itself.
He found himself growing more protective of Fattey, sensing that the young bird might have untapped potential.
There was a powerful spirit within Fattey, a hidden strength that might one day awaken.
The thought filled Fowad with a renewed sense of purpose. He would nurture and protect Fattey, just as he did with Foxy, until the bird's true potential emerged.
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the forest, Fowad gathered his companions and made his way back to the nest.
The day's training had left them exhausted but fulfilled, their bond stronger than ever, their skills sharper.
They returned to the nest, settling in for the night as the forest grew quiet around them.
Fowad leaned back, a sense of calm and satisfaction washing over him. With Foxy and Fattey by his side, he knew he could face whatever challenges lay ahead.
The stars began to twinkle in the sky, and as Fowad drifted off to sleep, he felt a quiet confidence settle within him.
This journey was only beginning, and he was ready for whatever it would bring.
Fowad was holding wildcat core on his hand. Fattey jump the other side looking like he wanted the beast core.
Fowad asked you want it ? Fattey says yes.
Chip! Chip! Chip!
(Give me the core. I am hungry. Mommy)
Fowad give the wildcat beast core to Fattey. He bite it, like it was butter. Eats the half part of the beast core.
Fowad amazed by Fattey strength. He bite the core like nothing. Then Fattey eats the other half. After eating Fattey just fall asleep.
Fowad just watched the hole thing, didn't know how this tiny fat bird able do this....
