_Chapter 7: Secrets Exposed_
Emily's eyes widened as she read the article. Street racing? Arrested? Axel's secrets were unraveling.
At school, Emily confronted Axel. "Why didn't you tell me?"
Axel's expression turned defensive. "It's not relevant."
"It is to me," Emily pressed. "I thought we were friends."
Axel sighed. "I was young, stupid, and trying to escape. But I've changed."
Emily searched his eyes, seeking truth. "What else are you hiding?"
Axel hesitated before pulling out a small notebook. "I write poetry."
Emily's surprise turned to curiosity. "Show me."
Axel's hands trembled as he handed her the notebook.
As Emily read, she discovered a depth to Axel she never knew existed.
"This is beautiful," Emily said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Axel's face relaxed. "Thanks."
Their connection deepened, but Emily knew there was more to uncover.
"Tell me about Lily," Emily asked, her tone cautious.
Axel's expression darkened. "Lily's toxic. She'll stop at nothing to ruin me."
Suddenly, Lily appeared, her eyes flashing with malice.
"Axel, darling," Lily purred. "Introduce me to your new friend."
Axel's jaw clenched. "Lily, leave Emily alone."
Lily's smile twisted. "Oh, I'm just getting started."
