"Remember what?" Kate asked.
"Do you remember..." Ivy's words caught in her throat, unable to come out.
She wanted to ask if Kate recalled mentioning a second date.
What if the senior had said it casually? If she took it seriously, would she seem too clingy?
"Nothing." Ivy's spirits dipped. She hung her head and walked toward the bed, flopping down face-first.
It's okay; even if she doesn't remember, I'll still strive for the next date. Then she'll recall.
Kate wasn't accustomed to sleeping right after eating, but she went over, sat on the bed, and opened a book.
Ivy clutched her small pillow and blanket, settling at the very edge of the bed, far from Kate, her back turned. It looked like she was sleeping, but perhaps she was sulking.
Kate glanced sideways at her, a slight furrow between her brows, pondering.
After a while, Kate suddenly said, "You're quite good at guessing songs."
