Chapter 3 - THE PRINCE AND THE LITTLE PRINCESS

As Lila was fast asleep — sleeping so soundly. She then suddenly began slowly opening her eyes — and found herself in a strange place, sitting under a tall flower bed. Once sitting up, from the flowers around her. What she saw before her was of a wide meadow, following a long vast river by a tall hilltop — on the hilltop was a huge tree. She then notices someone sleeping underneath the tree, gets up from the ground, and walks towards the tree — wanting to have a better look at their face.

Once she made it up the hill, she saw that they were in a deep sleep, she then noticed that their face was completely blurred up; so she couldn't tell what this person looked like. But noticed that aside from their blurred face, their hair as well leading from the neck down, she was able to picture in her mind what they looked like.

The person before seemed to be a boy, who Lila guessed looked about somewhere the same age as she, but somewhere from age twelve or fourteen? But wasn't entirely sure. He had dark raven hair that met his shoulders — and split curtain bangs that framed his blurred face. As for what he wore, what seemed to look like some type of uniform with a black and silver tie and a cobra emblem on the uniform. Beautiful as the outfit was, it looked a bit worn out, where Lila began to wonder if what he had on were hand-me-down robes like hers and her twin sisters or something?

She was captivated by the boy, trying to figure out who the sleeping stranger might be. Someone ran up behind Lila and ended up startling her.

"Hi! — !!! How is my Prince doing today???" Excitedly shouted, coming from the little girl, who happened to be the one who ran up behind and scared her.

The girl had light pink mid hair — that seemed patchy in some areas — and had them up in little pigtails. Telling by what the girl looked like — her face was blurred out too. And seemed younger than the sleeping boy — she looked somewhere to be four or six years old. About eight or ten years younger than the sleeping boy. Judging by his almost tall physique and thin figure.

Wasn't sure who these two might be, but somehow felt that maybe she did. She felt that she had lived through this exact moment before. Even with their blurred faces that camouflaged her view of their facial appearance.

"Um — Hello??? I'm Lila and —" She spoke to the girl while placing her hand on the little girl's shoulder. Her hand just went through her. And sees that the girl hadn't heard her, nor reacted to what just occurred. Quickly realising that she nor the boy could hear her, she also realises that she was dreaming. Even realising that this was all a dream — she thought how real this dream felt, and wondered if this was even a dream at all?

"Hmmm… —— " Groan the sleeping boy, startling Lila in her train of thoughts. The little girl was lightly nudging the boy, making him finally wake up. He sat up straight and started stretching after what looked like he had a long deep nap.

Lila thought this dream was a bit weird and questioned what she was supposed to see from this dream exactly? Trying to wake herself up — by pinching herself, or any other methods to do so — nothing seemed to be working. The only thing she could do at the moment was let this so-called dream play out while she just sat back and watched. Wondering that she'll learn something from this dream.

"What do you want now? — I was in the middle of studying… *Yawn!*" Muttered the boy, sounding so tired. Talking to the little girl a bit coldly, and almost too harshly. "Boo!!! — Why do you always have to sound so negative??? And besides… you weren't studying, you were sleeping." States the little girl slyly. The boy groaned at her reply, sounding somewhat annoyed with the girl.

"Whatever I do, is none of your concern, whether I was sleeping or studying, is none of your business." He tells her coldly, while the little girl just giggles at his comment. Then thought to tease the boy more.

"Oooh! — Why is my Prince so grumpy??? Slept on the wrong side of the bed???" She mutters while leaning in closer to him, giggling some more. "I'll make sure to not make Prince any angrier. *Giggle*" She said lastly while resting her head on his shoulder for a brief second — where she then quickly sprung up.

"OOOH!!! — I KNOW!!!" She suddenly squealed loudly. Then pulling out something from her rucksack. Surprising the boy, by placing something on his head.

"Aaaand –— VOILA!!!"

"A flower crown for my Prince!!!" The little girl exclaimed while sounding excited and happy in gifting the boy a crown made out of flower origami paper.

Lila thought it was cute and thoughtful that the little girl gifted something to the boy, but wondered if he would even accept her little gift — as Lila had been seeing from her point of view of things of how he was a bit impertinent with the little girl.

The boy even surprises Lila, after seeing him accept the little crafted gift, and notices a light pink hue appear on his blurred face — indicating that he was blushing. Then faced away from the girl, trying his hardest to hide his feelings. He was probably trying to act cool while masking his expression for receiving and accepting the little girl's gift.

Lila thought it was cute of him to act all tough and rude, while he had this side of him. It reminded her of how her two sisters usually act at times. But she knew that this was different from a sisterly, sibling-like relationship. As she felt her heart skip a beat, while not knowing or realising what this feeling was?

"Oh No!!!" Lila turns to the little girl, as her loud cry catches her attention. "I forgot that a prince has to have a real crown, with real flowers!!! Wait here — I'll make you a new one!!!" She panicked while hurrying down the hill, and down to gather some flowers in the flower bed where Lila woke up from earlier.

Lila chuckles at how adorable the little girl acted towards the boy, even going through the links of gathering and picking up flowers, to make him a proper flower crown. And although the boy acts as if the girl might be some sort of a nuisance, to him. As the two seem different from one another. He enjoys the little girl's company. He removes the origami flower crown off his head and carefully stores it away in his knapsack. Making Lila smile by his kind gestures.

The girl comes back from gathering the flowers from the flower field — and quickly constructs a new flower crown for her Prince.

"Aaaaand — ALL DONE!!! Another flower crown for my Prince!!! *Giggle!* So Handsome!!!

Lila smiled and chuckled at the two, as she saw how cute they acted towards one another. Then started feeling a bit of familiarity with their interactions and by the scenery — as she felt that she somehow lived every moment of it. She also had the need to not wake from her dream — having the need to stay at this exact moment, as it felt very precious to her for some reason.

Lila sat beside the two, under the tall large tree, seeing the little girl chatting with the boy — where he just simply nodded with the things she said while being glued to his book. He groaned, sounding a bit annoyed by the amount of noise as he tried focusing on reading — but at the same time, didn't mind it. Lila smiled at his actions and thought how sweet he was acting towards her at times, even as he tried his best to stay in his stern-like behaviour.

While the two chatted, Lila decided to doze off against the tree, as she felt a bit tired — even when she was in her own dream.

The sounds of the rustling leaves from the tall large tree above them, the fresh cool breeze hitting her skin as well as the sound of chirping birds flying past them, seemed to feel relaxed. Having to close her eyes for a brief moment, and enjoying the sounds of nature around her, as well as hearing the small giggles of the little girl, and the sounds of annoyance coming from the boy.
