"Oh my... you look stunning!" Vance gasped immediately he was back in the room... his eyes taking in the beautiful bride that was standing right in front of him...
A smile couldn't help but grace Lynn's face because of his reaction. The dress was a bit heavy and uncomfortable but what could she say... she was just a fake bride who had to do as she was told... it was Alex's wedding not hers, so she decided not to complain and just go with the flow of everything... "would you like to take a look" Vance asked, looking more excited than the actual bride... was she having cold feet? The designer wondered... but was excited to be the designer for the soon-to-be Mrs Hult... "Yes," Lynn responded in a low voice, her eyes filled with anticipation to see what the dress looked like...
"roll the curtains up!" Vance instructed his two assistants, who had an ever-pleasant smile on their faces...Lynn's hands were fisted beside her as she watched as they rolled the curtains that covered the mirrors up and as soon as it was up, she froze... Her eyes looked at the reflection of a beautiful lady that she was staring back at... She knew it was her, but it was hard for her to believe even though she was staring back at herself...
The wedding dress was immaculate!... The detailed lace intricate on the gown made it elegant and simple at the same time... it was like a ball gown but not too puffy... it had a small slit by the side, and the sleeves were... wonderful... it wasn't too revealing and it was simply perfect... she fell in love with the dress immediately... it felt like it was made for her...
Her jaw dropped in awe as her eyes took in every detail of the wedding dress she was putting on... It was simply breathtaking, and Vance was a genius...
"Do you love it because I do... it feels as if this dress was meant for you... I knew the moment I saw you that I found the perfect owner for this dress... what do you think?" Vance said, his eyes filled with anticipation for what Lynn's answer would be... Lynn couldn't help but run her hand across the soft lace of the dress, and even though it was a bit uncomfortable, she didn't want to take it off... she had to give herself a firm reminder that it was all just a facade and she shouldn't get too carried away by all this...
"Yes, I love it too," Lynn blurted out and bit her lips... how could she say no to such a beautiful dress...
Vance clapped his hands together excitedly and let out a satisfied laugh that made the smile on Lynn's become brighter... "You made the right choice Lynn! I will be right back. I got the perfect pair of shoes that will go wonderfully with your dress" Lynn nodded and watched as he gestured for his two assistants to come with him... while Lynn stood there staring at herself in the mirror... a smile on her face... Her heart swelled as she looked at herself...
Never in her life had she imagined herself in such a wedding dress... maybe she had imagined getting married a few times, but that imagination had completely dissipated after a while... She had thought she would never find the one and get married... no one wanted to inherit such a huge family debt, she always told herself anytime she slowly started to develop a crush or someone tried to get close to her... she didn't want someone she loves to share her problems
So she had simply stuck to fending for herself, but the past few weeks she had spent with Alex Hult felt different... she knew he wasn't the love she wanted or the husband she had once dreamed of, but a few times like this a part of her couldn't help but get happy and excited... it felt like she was having her dream wedding... but it wasn't, she was getting married to him for her gain... it wasn't a love marriage...
The smile on Lynn's face slowly dissipated and she held up her dress as she tried to get down from the small podium she was standing on, but no one was there to assist her like the first time when she came in.... Lynn was about to call out to Vance or anyone who was out there when she heard footsteps approaching... she sighed in relief, but that relief didn't last when she saw a pair of shoes appear in front of her... She raised her eyes to see and her eyes grew wide when she saw a familiar person walk into the room.... why was he here!
A lex stood in front of her and she immediately took a step back... why was he here! Shouldn't he be at work? And why did her heart skip a beat!!
He had a slight frown on his face as his eyes locked into hers...
Alex swallowed as he stared at his wife in her wedding dress... she looked completely breath taking, and he had to fist his hand so hard till his knuckles started turned white... his heart raced as he stared at her... everything else around him not mattering any more... only her mattered...
Her cheeks became Flushed as she stared at him and he knew she had become nervous... he had no idea why he had come here... he planned to avoid her, but how could he avoid her when all he wanted was for her to be in his lane of sight... his mind kept being constantly plagued by her flushed face and bright smile.... he wanted to hold her warm hand again and even more that he staring at her, he was still thinking about her.... it made him mad, but not at Lynn but at himself... Was it simply just attraction... it had to be...
Oh damn! She was so beautiful... Alex could already imagine her walking down the aisle... and it was hard to push those kinds of thoughts to the back of his mind...
"Why...why are you...here," Lynn stuttered, her hand gripping onto her dress as her eyes locked with his.... he looked mad, did he perhaps find out about Joan? She doubted that... Lynn took another step back when Alex took a step towards her... her heart beating frantically in her ribcage...
"Be careful" Alex said, his eyes never leaving hers as he started to walk towards her... Lynn swallowed and gasped when Alex climbed onto the podium... the giddy feeling returning... her mind travelling back to the previous day in his study... no! he couldn't be close!
She was about to tell him to stay away but couldn't when Alex suddenly picked her up in her dre, ss completely shocking her..... "What do you think you are doing!" Lynn immediately protested in a high-pitched voice, her hand travelling to his shoulder for support as he walked down the podium...
"Please put me down!" Lynn pleaded with Alex when he started to walk out of the room where others were... she was already embarrassed but could feel a new incoming embarrassment coming up...why was he suddenly acting like this! where was the alex who talked coldly to her... the pompous jerk!
