Alex gestured for her to come with him, his eyes filled.with concern... Lynn swallowed and finally started to follow him out of her house... it was dark outside and she knew everyone were probably asleep... Her eyes were on him as they walked to his car... Did he really have pure intentions or was he trying to abduct her...
They arrived at where Alex's car was parked, and Alex opened the door for Lynn... "Good evening ma'am." Someone greeted her from the driver's seat, and she immediately recognised him... He was the man that was with Alex the first time she had met him and poured coffee on him... The nice man.
Lynn nodded at him, and he smiled slightly at her through the rearview mirror and started the car engine... Lynn watched as her apartment slowly disappeared from her view... and then she saw him... Her eyes immediately grew wide in horror when she saw the creepy stranger from the alley, standing close to her house.... He was staring right at the car as it drove by him and Lynn turned to look at Alex but he didn't see him...
She had really been in danger ...
"Where are we going?" She turned to Alex and asked. her hand trembling "My house," Alex replied... A frown on his face...
The rest of the drive to his house was a silent one... she could feel James staring at her through the rearview mirror occasionally... She too glanced at Alex Hult occasionally, but he looked like his mind had drifted off, away from reality... Lynn wondered what he was thinking so deeply about...
She looked at her phone, unsure if she should call the police now or when they arrived at his place... It didn't seem like they were a cause for alarm yet... Work!
how could she forget about work... what if she gets laid off? Could she go to work in this situation. she remembered Alex saying something about the creepy stranger lurking around her workplace... what if he tried to attack her at work... The thought alone made a shiver run down Lynn's spine... what did she do to deserve all of this?
she turned to look outside the car window and realised they had completely left her part of the city... They were heading towards the other side of the city... a place she had never been to or even imagined to go... it was the place where the high-class people lived... she had listened to a lot of people talking about how it was their dream to live there someday why she just dreamed about living a middle-class Life... in other words, a comfortable life...
A luxury like this was something she didn't hope for because she knew she could never have it...
The car slowly went further and further away and finally, they arrived at a big gate...
She watched in awe as they drove into the estate, and her eyes widened in shock. Immediately, the house started to come into view...
This wasn't what she had imagined at all! not even a bit! It was a big ass mansion! it was like she was staring at a modern-day castle... How many people lived in such a big place...
he couldn't possibly be the owner! Lynn only regained a bit of her composure when the car door opened to reveal Alex...
she swallowed as she stepped out of the car...
Was this real... if it was all she could think about was 'Wow!' The mansion was magnificent...
she tried to keep her composure as she walked behind him to the huge mahogany French door...
He pressed the doorbell, and a few seconds later, the door was opened by an older man... He looked to be in his late fifties and was dressed in a kind of uniform... A butler? Did they still exist... The rich were living a completely different life than she was... it was like she was walking into another universe... a universe that she was never going to fit into... She felt a pang in her heart... she was different and she knew it...
"Good evening, sir," the older man greeted... his eyes travelled from Alex to Lynn... she could see that his eyes were filled with curiosity...
Lynn looked at him nervously. it was hard to read his expression... especially when he was staring at her.
"Did you prepare what I asked?" Alex said, and the man nodded, making way for the both of them to enter the house... Alex turned to look at Lynn and gestured for her to come in, and she nodded...
if she was in awe about the exterior of the house then, now she was in complete awe as she walked into the mansion...
"This way," Alex said, and she nodded. following him, her eyes scanning scanning her environment... The ceiling of the hallway was so Highy with a magnificent chandler hanging in the middle... she couldn't even start about the wall design... Everything was screaming pure luxury... she could see the beautiful porcelain vases as they walked... She was sure one would cost more than all the salaries she had collected in her entire life...
Even the stairs that She was following Alex on looked luxurious... He led her up to the upstairs hallways, and she could see a few closed doors...
They finally arrived at a door, and he turned to look at her before pushing the door open..
"You can sleep here tonight, let's talk tomorrow," Alex said, and Lynn nodded. she waited till he was gone before she walked into the room..
her eyes scanning the huge room that he had taken her to... The whole room was bigger than her entire apartment put together... Her jaw almost dropped as she entered the room and walked to the king-size bed.. was this supposed to be the guest room?
How big exactly was this house... She would worry about that later... first, she had to think about why that creep knew her house and why Alex was at her place... Was he following her also... she hated being indebted to people... and now she was indebted to him, saving her from that creep.
