Chapter 2 - K

"Once upon a time," the mother began, her voice soft and inviting, "there was a courageous king, a knight of unmatched strength and heart. His kingdom was beautiful, filled with sunlight and laughter… but one day, darkness fell upon it. The Dark Lord arrived, spreading fear, and stealing away every bit of light."

The child's eyes widened as he listened, hanging on to every word. "Mother… what did the king do?"

The mother smiled gently, her gaze distant as if she could see the story unfolding in front of her. "Oh, my dear, this king was no ordinary man. He was brave, not just because he had a sword, but because he had love in his heart – love for his people, for his land, and for the light he knew they all deserved."

The child leaned forward, eyes shining. "And then? Did he fight the Dark Lord?"

"Yes," the mother nodded. "With every bit of strength he had, he faced the Dark Lord. The battle was fierce. Shadows covered the land, and thunder shook the heavens as their swords clashed. There were moments when everyone thought the king might fall… but he never gave up. His love for his people kept him standing."

The child gasped, his little fists clenched. "He didn't give up, Mother? Even when it was hard?"

The mother reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair from her child's face. "No, he didn't. And when the battle seemed darkest, he found a strength deep within, brighter than any light. With a final, mighty strike, he defeated the Dark Lord, casting him away forever. The kingdom was safe once more, and the sun shone brighter than ever."

The child's heart swelled with admiration. "Mother," he said, his voice trembling with excitement, "one day, I'll be just like that king! I'll be brave and protect everyone I love, just like he did."

The mother's eyes softened, her heart touched by his words. "Then you must remember, my dear… bravery isn't just in battles. It's in kindness, in standing up for what's right, even when you're afraid. One day, you'll be a great protector, just like him."

The child beamed, his heart set on a future filled with courage and dreams. "I promise, Mother. I'll be brave and strong, just like the king."

[Few Year Later]

The sound of a bell echoed, its ringing sharp and piercing through the silence. Each chime filled the air with a resonance that carried an indescribable feeling—almost as if signaling the beginning of something unforeseen.

The main character opened his eyes, a vivid memory flooding his mind. He tried to sit up, still feeling the remnants of his dreams clinging to him. Light streamed in through the window, momentarily blinding him. "Morning already," he murmured. "I can't believe… that story Mother told me… it's still so fresh in my mind."

He turned his gaze to the family photo by his bedside, a small smile playing on his lips, filled with both warmth and resolve. With quiet determination, he whispered, "Mother, your son will fulfill his dreams."

He hurriedly dressed, fumbling with his clothes as he tried to shake off the remnants of sleep. "Damn it, I'm late," he muttered, feeling the rush of urgency. As he moved, he stumbled over his shoes, catching himself just before he fell. He took a deep breath, gathering his focus, and sprinted out the door.

The sight that greeted him was one he'd seen countless times, yet it always filled him with awe. The city sprawled before him in a dazzling array of lights and colors, a marvel of modernity and innovation. Towering skyscrapers reached toward the sky, their glass facades reflecting the morning sun, while sleek vehicles glided through the air above, weaving effortlessly between the buildings.

The world had changed so much in the past thirty years. He still remembered his mother's stories about the time before the Dark Lord's defeat, a time when fear hung thick in the air, and progress was a distant dream. But ever since that fateful day, when the darkness was finally cast out, something had shifted in the hearts of all beings. They had united, pouring their energy and creativity into building a brighter future.

Now, the city stood as a testament to their progress. The streets below bustled with life, filled with people of all kinds—humans, elves, dwarves, and even creatures he'd only heard about in legends, all moving together in harmony. Shops and markets lined the roads, offering goods and technologies that had once seemed like fantasies. In the skies above, shimmering transit systems carried people from place to place with ease, their engines humming softly as they soared.

He paused for a moment, taking it all in, a sense of pride swelling in his chest. The world had come so far, and he was part of it—part of this new era, this age of hope and possibility. Remembering his mother's words, he clenched his fist with determination.

"Mother," he whispered to himself, a smile forming on his lips, "your son will make his mark on this world. I'll make you proud."

With one last look at the gleaming city, he took a moment to gather his thoughts, eager to introduce himself. "Oh, I almost forgot!" he exclaimed, a grin spreading across his face. "Let me introduce myself properly. I am K, the main character of this story."

K is a young boy with a robotic arm, sandy dark blonde hair, and warm-toned skin, a blend of Middle Eastern and Asian heritage. He wears a red sweater, three-quarter-length pants, and brown high-top shoes. Standing at 169 cm, K has a look of determination, and by his side floats a small robotic dragon named Daw, who buzzes around him with curious energy.

Daw, with his sleek metallic body and glowing eyes, is more than just a companion; he's K's closest friend and protector. Together, they make a striking pair, ready to face the adventures of this futuristic world where technology and tradition intertwine.
