Chapter 4 - Galaxy Exam upcoming

K and Daw made their way to class, his shoulders slumping as he took his seat. With a heavy sigh, he let his head drop onto the desk, groaning softly. Daw hovered beside him, emitting a sympathetic hum, as if understanding K's frustration.

K mumbled to himself, "Of all the days… why does she have to be so strict?"."Daw, look at your mom," K muttered, glancing at his robotic companion. "Out of nowhere, I get a 'love letter' for detention."

Daw tilted his head, his metallic eyes blinking with curiosity, as if trying to process K's frustration. K sighed, sinking further into his chair, mentally bracing himself for the long day ahead.

Just then, a pair a boy and a girl approached them from behind. K heard their footsteps and turned slightly, recognizing them immediately. They were his close friends, always arriving just in time to catch him in his moments of frustration.

"Hey, got in trouble with Lucy again?" the boy teased, flashing a grin.

The girl chuckled, crossing her arms as she looked at K with a knowing smile. "Let me guess another 'love letter' from the student council queen?"

K rolled his eyes, lifting his head from the desk. "Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up," he sighed, though a small smirk crept onto his face.

"I don't know how she knew I was trying to sneak in from the back," K muttered, casting a suspicious look at his friend. "Lee, you must've told Lucy."

Lee feigned innocence, shrugging. "Who, me? I didn't tell anyone, honestly. I just happened to mention to my love here that you and I were using the back entrance today." He grinned, nudging the girl beside him.

K groaned, piecing it together. "And then your 'love' right there went and told Lucy, didn't she?"

Lee gave a sheepish smile as he looked to his girlfriend. "Well, my dear only asked where her best friend's boyfriend was sneaking in from." He smirked, raising his eyebrows. "Isn't that right, my sweet?"

The girl laughed, her eyes sparkling as she looked at K. "Of course, my little charmer," she teased, nudging Lee back. "I only asked because Lucy was worried her boyfriend hadn't shown up yet!"

K sighed dramatically and shot Lee a mock glare. "Lee, you traitor," he muttered, shaking his head with a smirk.

Just then, Professor Nikki walked into the classroom, and everyone scrambled to their seats. K straightened up, trying to look somewhat prepared, while Lee stifled a laugh beside him.

Lucy entered the classroom in a hurried jog, sliding into her seat right next to K. K turned to her, giving her his best innocent smile. Lucy raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed but unable to hide a slight smile of her own.

Professor Nikki cleared her throat and addressed the class. "Alright, everyone, as you know, this is your final year here," she began, her tone serious. "I want to remind you all that the Galaxy Exam is mandatory, and passing it is essential for completing your studies."

A murmur swept through the room, students glancing at each other with a mix of excitement and nerves. The Galaxy Exam was known to be one of the toughest challenges at Cahaya Academy,a test not only of knowledge but also of strength, strategy, and resilience.

Professor Nikki continued, "This exam isn't just about academic skill. It's a test of whether you're ready to join the ranks of the Galaxy Keepers and take on the responsibilities that come with protecting this world." She scanned the room, her gaze intense. "Prepare yourselves. You'll need every skill you've learned here and more."

K felt his pulse quicken. The thought of the Galaxy Exam was both thrilling and daunting, and he could already sense the weight of the challenge ahead.

K's expression grew serious, a flicker of anxiety crossing his face. He knew this exam would be a monumental challenge for him. To be honest, K was one of the lowest-ranked students in his year at the Academy. While he was smart, he lacked the specialized skills and strength that his classmates possessed, which kept him from reaching the top ranks.

K was, after all, an ordinary human without any special powers, unlike most of the other students at Cahaya Academy. His only companion was Daw, his small robotic dragon, who buzzed faithfully beside him. Daw was loyal and helpful, but he didn't offer the kind of strength or abilities that many other students' skills or powers did.

Despite these setbacks, K wasn't ready to give up. He clenched his fists slightly, determination sparking in his eyes. He would find a way, somehow, to overcome the odds and pass the Galaxy Exam.

Lucy noticed the change in K's expression, the way his face tightened with worry. Without a word, she reached over and gently took his hand, her touch warm and reassuring. K looked up, surprised, and met her steady gaze.

She gave his hand a small squeeze, her eyes filled with unwavering confidence. No words were needed—her silent gesture told him everything. She believed in him, believed that he had what it took to pass the Galaxy Exam, no matter how difficult it might be.

Feeling the strength of her support, K managed a small smile, his determination renewed. With Lucy by his side, he felt a little stronger, ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead.
