Chapter 18 - chapter 18 part 1

The morning sunlight filters through the blinds, casting soft, golden rays across Ren's room. He wakes up with a grin tugging at the corner of his lips, feeling a sense of triumph. The satisfaction of last night's little play is still lingering within him, fueling his pride and dark side.

Nathan was humiliated, scared beyond comprehension. Ren can still picture his face—twisted in fear, begging for mercy from Incubi.

Nathan got even more scared when I touched his ass— I don't like men (Just telling).

Man, it's sooo fun that I almost couldn't stop.

"Incubi…" Ren thinks, the name rolling around in his mind. It fits perfectly. A persona that represents everything he desires: power, control, and freedom.

He stands up and stretches. As he does, he feels different. His body is light and his powers different. They feel stronger. There's no visible sign of change, but it's an undeniable sensation, almost like a surge of energy pulsing just beneath his skin.

He ignores the changes for now and just gets ready for the day. He sits on the chair in the kitchen. As he punches on bread, he contemplates his next steps. Nathan was dealt with, but Eva… she's still there, smug and superior. He can't quit the restaurant yet, not until he's had his revenge on her.

For now, though, I'll bide my time and focus on mastering my abilities.

Stepping out of the room, Ren bumps into Lina in the hallway. She is looking stunning as always—simple, yet elegant, her features catching the morning light in just the right way. It's not a lustful attraction, but something softer. Still, it captivates him.

"Morning, Lina," Ren greets her with surprising confidence, a smirk playing on his lips. "You're looking beautiful as always."

Lina raises an eyebrow, caught off-guard by his sudden boldness. The Ren she knows is quiet, almost shy, but this… this feels different.

"Uh… thanks," she replies, her voice uncertain, but polite.

Ren doesn't let the moment pass. "Off to work early again, huh? You should take it easy sometimes, you know. Overworking can wear you out."

She shrugs, her usual nonchalant self. "Yeah, okay. I'll try."

He pauses, eyes gleaming with something unreadable. "By the way, if rent's ever an issue, I can cover for you some times."

Lina stares at him for a moment, confused. She knows Ren struggles financially, just like her—what could he possibly mean by offering to cover her rent?

"No thanks, I've got it handled," she replies, her voice measured, and then walks away.

Ren watches her go, muttering under his breath. "Don't worry, Lina. Soon, you won't have to worry about anything. Wealth, royalty… all will be yours."

He exits, unlocks his bike and makes his way to the diner. As he pedals forward, he feels a rising anticipation building inside him. The thought of Nathan showing up after last night's encounter with Incubi brings a wicked smile to his face. He can't wait to see the fear in his eyes, the hesitation, the excuses.

Upon arriving, Ren is greeted by the sight of Nathan, surrounded by Eva and the other female employees.

"Ohh, it started without me." He thinks as he approaches slowly.

He stays back for a bit, savoring the scene like a spectator at a play.

The employees are covering Nathan, stopping him from leaving.

"Nathan, what's going on? Why are you quitting?" one of the girls asks, worry etched on her face.

"Is it too much work? We can help you out or change your schedule," another offers, her voice almost pleading.

Eva, ever the practical leader, steps in. "If it's about money, we can talk about a raise, Nathan. You're a valuable employee."

But Nathan is distant, refusing to meet anyone's eyes, especially Eva's. He takes small, nervous steps away from her every time she speaks, his mind consumed by the thought of Incubi. Ren can almost hear Nathan's internal monologue—'I have to get out of here. No job is worth what he might do…'

"I'm sorry, but I've made up my mind," Nathan says, voice shaky. "I can't work here."

Eva, growing visibly frustrated, presses harder. "Nathan, if I did something wrong, just tell me. We can work this out."

But Nathan shakes his head, unwilling to budge. "I'm sorry, Eva. There's nothing you can say to change my mind."

With that, Nathan turns and leaves, his hurried steps echoing through the restaurant as everyone watches in stunned silence.

From the back, Ren smirks, a dark satisfaction curling inside him. "Yes, just leave," he thinks. "Cause If you stay, who knows what's gonna happen next time."

Everyone sees Nathan walks away from the diner, feeling down.

Then everyone goes back to work, mumbling to each other. "Finally we had someone handsome, and he quit so quickly." One female employee says.

"Yaa, he was good looking. I even gave him my number." Other says.

"Really, if he calls you, make sure to tell me all about it, okay." One says.

But all the murmurs quite down as time ticks by.

The day moves on. Ren heads to the storage room to pick up a few supplies. And when no one's looking, he decides to test his powers— feeling the increased strength in his abilities, he eyes a stack of boxes.

Focusing his mind, Ren stretches out his telekinesis, moving the top box with a flick of his thoughts. It shifts effortlessly, hovering for a moment before gently settling back into place.

He does that easily. There's no need for hand gestures anymore— his control has grown beyond that. This realization excites him. But it also comes with more questions, why did his powers grew and how.

But he drops the questions and with a smirk, moves on to make his deliveries, feeling more in tune with his abilities than ever.

Riding his bicycle, he continues testing his telekinesis on smaller objects, like pebbles and stones. He focuses on one in particular, pushing it forward with his mind as he pedals. There's no outward motion, no flick of his fingers—just pure concentration.

It works, better than he expects. The stone rolls forward, obeying his will with minimal effort. His powers have grown mysteriously, more than they should have by now. It's strange, but thrilling.

As he continues riding, Ren spots a cat lounging lazily on a low brick wall. With a mischievous thought, he focuses on the cat, giving it a gentle telekinetic nudge. The cat wobbles, loses its balance, and drops off the wall, landing gracefully on its feet, as cats always do. Ren chuckles to himself, amused by the small prank.

It's not much, but the sense of control, of being able to manipulate the world around him, feeds something deep within him—a hunger for more.

Not far from where the cat landed, Ren's attention is drawn to the ground where a small group of girls are playing basketball. They are laughing and cheering, trying to throw the ball from a distance into the hoop.

Ren approaches the ground and stands at the fences. For a moment, he simply stands there, watching them trying the ling shot. The girls are young, energetic, and… beautiful.

As he watches, a dark thought flickers through his mind, his eyes trailing their movements with a mix of admiration and hunger. His gaze lingers a bit too long on their legs, curves, the way their bodies move as they jump and play.

As always, watching them slowly makes him hungry for them. Now he wants them, have them.

Then, an idea sparks in his mind, and he smirks. He parks his bicycle to a stop, and casually walks over to the group.
