Ren is lying on his bed, thinking about what just happened, when Lina walks in. Her expression softens compared to her usual demeanor. "Ren, I'm going to work now," she says softly. "You should take a leave from work and rest today."
Surprised by her concern, Ren smiles slightly. "Yes, I'll rest. Bye," he responds, watching as she heads out the door. His mind lingers on the fact that she's taking care of him, something he wasn't used to. It feels... good.
Now alone and free for the day, Ren feels a surge of excitement. He can sense that his powers have grown since last night—his rage had pushed his abilities to new heights.
He tries to connect the dots, thinking back to previous moments when his powers expanded. Rage and intense focus—were the common factors. But beyond that, the mystery remained unsolved.
Still, his powers have grown, and he has a whole day to himself. His thoughts quickly shift to his new ability—healing. He has healed his palm, but he still doesn't fully understand how it works. The desire to experiment takes hold.
Reaching for a small knife, Ren cuts a shallow line across his hand. Blood beads up from the wound, and he immediately focuses, feeling that familiar warmth radiates through his body. He watches with fascination as the skin knits together slowly, almost like invisible threads pulling it back into place.
"Wow… that's cool. I was stunned before to notice this but the process looks so magical," he mutters, his voice filled with excitement.
He observes the process closely, trying to make sense of it. "How does this work?" he wonders aloud. "Does healing speed up time around the wound? Or... is it just making the body heal faster naturally?" He frowns slightly, unable to figure it out.
With a shrug, he dismisses his confusion. "Oh well... I'll figure it out eventually," he says to himself, grinning at the potential.
After experimenting a bit with healing, Ren moves on to telekinesis, the ability he's most excited about. When he thinks of telekinesis, the first thing that comes to his mind is flying. He'd managed to stay afloat for about five minutes last time, but now, with his power stronger, he wonders how much longer he can go.
Without hesitation, Ren stands in the middle of the room and focuses his mind. Then immediately, he begins to lift into the air.
As he rises, a grin spreads across his face. To his surprise, it's much easier this time—there's not much strain on his mind like before. The effort it's taking to push himself up now feels quite easy.
"This is so much easier than before," he murmurs in awe, floating a few feet above the ground. He stays there, hovering in the air, the sensation thrilling him. The minutes tick by, and he's still floating without any sign of exhaustion.
Ten minutes pass, and Ren finally lowers himself back to the ground. "Yes... now this is real flying," he mutters, excitement buzzing through him. It wasn't just hovering—he could fly for real now, and the idea fills him with glee.
His thoughts start to race. If he can fly with ease, the possibilities are endless. He could travel fast at night, moving unseen through the skies. The thought of how fast he could go excites him, but he knows he'll need to practice to control his fear. "What if I fall?" he mutters, shaking his head. "No, I'll just need to practice more. Get used to it."
A dark thought crosses his mind. If he could go anywhere now. He can fly to another country, another city, anywhere to find beautiful women and do whatever he wants. Now, he no longer needs to worry about traveling.
The idea of freedom, of being able to go wherever he desires stirs something in him. "Flying's a big deal," he whispers, eyes gleaming with anticipation.
The excitement is too much to handle, but he forces himself to calm down. "There'll be time for that," he says, already thinking of the future. For now, he decides to move on to his next practice, but the thrill of flight is just too much to just forget about.
Then, Ren moves on to test other aspects of his telekinesis. First, he wonders just how much he can lift now. Focusing on his bed, he raises it off the floor with ease. "Not bad at all," he mutters, nodding in approval. The bed feels light in the grip of his telekinetic force, much easier than before. He looks around the room, but there's nothing heavier than the bed to test. "I guess I'll save the bigger stuff for later," he says with a shrug, deciding to try something else.
Next, he focuses on something he's never been able to do: vibration. The idea excites him—moving an object so fast in a place, it appears to vibrate. But it still isn't working the way he wants. Instead of getting frustrated, he shifts his focus to gentler movements. He doesn't need full-speed vibrations yet. He just wants to control things gently without causing damage, especially since now, with his healing ability, he can finally experiment on himself.
Ren concentrates on a small patch of skin on his arm, carefully trying to massage it using telekinesis without harming it. It works; the skin patch moves slowly, but then the skin stretches too far. "Ahh, fuck!" he curses as pain shoots through his arm. He looks down and sees a small rupture. Quickly, he uses healing, the warmth of the power knitting the skin back together.
"That was close. Damn… I almost ripped it," he mutters, wincing. "Good thing I didn't try this before, or I'd be a mess by now."
He doesn't give up, though. Ren tries again, this time massaging the area even more gently. He focuses on controlling the sensation, keeping it steady. His skin shifts without tearing, but when he gets excited and loses control, the skin ruptures again.
"Shit!" he yells, immediately healing it with another pulse of warmth. He exhales slowly. "This needs way more control than I thought. With other things, I just do it… but for this… it's delicate. I need precision."
He tries again, this time massaging slowly, keeping the sensation soft and steady. "Yeah, I should just stick to slow for now," he mutters, determined to master it. Even though he can't make things vibrate yet, he can still excite body parts with these small, careful movements. "So what if I can't vibrate yet? Slow works just fine," he grins, imagining what this could lead to.
His thoughts turn darker, drifting to Eva. He's been wanting to use this on her for a while, and now he finally has the power to do it. "If I can massage body parts without harming them… I can massage her breasts. I can excite her, and she won't even know why she's feeling that way," he says with a dark chuckle. His mind races with ideas—teasing her, making her body respond without her realizing it.
A twisted smile spreads across his face. "Yeah… after I practice a bit more, I can finally have some fun with her. All I need is to get better at this."
He continues to practice, focusing on the delicate control he needs, his mind full of thoughts of Eva and what he'll do once he perfects this control.
"I can indulge in my desires," he mutters, a wicked gleam in his eye, "but first, Incubi has new targets." His thoughts shift to the thugs who almost had their way with Lina the last night. His jaw clenches as he remembers their faces.
"Yeah... they're next," he whispers, a dangerous grin forming on his lips.
And with that, his training continues the whole day to evening, a sense of purpose driving him as he prepares for what comes next.
