Chapter 10 - CHAPTER TEN

All my body was in shock and I really wanted to know how he was feeling right now. Was his heart fluttering? Was he as nervous as me?

We were still in the same position and our eyes were fixed to each other. I didn't bother to move, I didn't want his hand to touch somewhere else.

"You said your name is Emi, right?" He looked serious and he asked seriously.

My heart was beating so fast, I completely forgot my name.

"Yes." I said calmly and I was still shocked.

"I want you to know that I am twenty eight. I use seven years to senior you." He exhaled deeply, "I don't th..."

"Let's go find them." I uncomfortably removed my body from him.

He looked at me but I ignored it.

"Like I said, you have to know me first." I walked pass him and I totally acted cool.

SUSAN

"Oh my gosh, I am so tired!" I shouted and I stopped walking.

We had be climbing this mountain for too long. Was this even hiking?

He was way high head of me and he didn't even look back. I frowned furiously and he finally stopped. I smiled and it felt like he read my expression.

I let some air out, and I sat next to a tree. I was all sweaty and my legs hurt badly.

He came back to me and he faced opposite me, standing. He raised a brow at me and he sighed.

"We are almost at the top." He sighed deeply.

"I don't think I can walk again." I retreated, even though it was only a few steps to the top.

He sighed again and he looked annoyed. "Don't think I will carry you down."

"What?!" I frowned and I eyed him. "You must have started smoking."

He eyed me and he just sighed again.

"Argh!" I groaned in pain and I could feel my heart beat, from my leg.

I frowned my face, in pain. I removed my left shoe, where I felt the pain most. My leg was all red and swollen. My shoes were a little too tight and me walking, made matter worse.

"Do you think I will carry you on my back?" He scoffed and he continued going up.

"I didn't ask!" I shouted so he could hear me.

I stayed there and I didn't see him again. I continued massaging my legs but it was only worsening.

He came back and he was holding the box. I widened my eyes, what was the chance of us finding it. Other groups had more interest in finding it.

"Shall we go back?" He gave a fake smile and he started walking.

"Henry!" I screamed his name, for the first time.

He stopped and he turned back. He looked a little bit surprise.

"Could you give me a lift to stand up?" I asked softly and nicely, still in pain.

He rolled his eyes, then walked back me. He reluctantly stretched his left hand towards me.

I smiled brightly and I placed my right hand on his hand. He used those muscular hand to lift my entire body up.

"Can we go?" He asked dangling the small box.

I nodded and I had that bright smile on my face.

He turned and he was moving. I was about to move, when I slipped on a tiny rock and I fell down. I literally fell beside his feet, making him to stop.

"Argh!" I groaned in pain and I squeezed my face in irritation.

He looked at me with concern and he bent down.

"Are you okay?" He asked with concern.

"Do I look okay?!" I eyed him and I squeezed my beautiful face.

"Ish, is it in your gene to always embarrass yourself in front of me?" He smirked a little and it seemed like a smile.

He used his hands and he held my shoulders. He dragged me up and he held my shoulders, to prevent me from falling.

He took my left hand and he placed it around his neck.

"Try to move with your leg, slowly." He commanded but in a polite way.

I was able to walk, but not properly. I was literally limping.

He held my waist with his right hand and he helped to walk. I didn't feel anything. It was not like It was a book, whereby the main lead holds the girl waist and her heart begins to beat faster than normal. Like bro! Those that even happen in real life.

He helped me to walk and we were almost getting back. On our way, we coincidentally met Emi and Justin. They were walking side by side with each other.

"Oh my gosh, Emi! What a coincidence." I teased her a little.

She sighed, "I told you, there is nothing as coincidence, we came to meet you on purpose."

"Could you carry your friend back?" Henry struggled to say.

"What happened to her?" Emi asked with concern.

"She just happened to fall." Henry replied her.

"You found the box!" She screamed, completely erasing my leg issue.

She grabbed the box and she was heading back. Justin uttered no words and he just followed her.

Henry sighed and he carried me back to the place. I felt a little bad, my leg was not really paining me again.

We headed back and everyone were present. The four of us sat together, for some unusual reason. Emi had already placed the box to the woman.

It was time she finally said, what the so hefty price was.

"Congratulations to everyone for participating!" She had this bright fake smile that made me want to barf.

"Congratulations group c, you have a private booking at Silverton." Everyone started to scream and they were clapping.

Everyone seemed to understand and they all seemed happy. Henry and Justin didn't seem to care but Emi was filled with joy.

She opened the box and she bought out four tickets. She walked towards us and she gave us the tickets.

She noticed me and she glared at me confused. I eyed her and she walked back to the stage. She whispered something to the other woman and there seemed to be a confusion, because of me.

She looked angry and she faked that smile and she looked directly at me.

"My sincere apologies ma'am." She apologized and she made everyone stare at me.

I was confused and I didn't think, I was the only one.

"We didn't know you were new here. We didn't even do an orientation or a welcome party. But I promise you ma'am, we are going to inform you went you get back to your room." She really looked apologetic.

Even though I didn't really understand, I had also wondered why I wasn't giving orientation or a welcome party.

I faked a smile and people removed their gaze from me.

"That's the end of today's program. Thank you so much for participating." They all bowed their heads in uniformity.

People started to leave and the host also left.

Justin left and Emi followed him. Henry was also about going.

"Wait!" I stopped him from going.
