He turned to look at me. He looked confused but his expression was justified.
"I just really want to tell you thanks." I wore a serious face and I sounded emotional. "I just..."
He sighed very deeply and he interrupted me. I gave him that glare.
"But thank you." I gave a little smile but he still had the same expression.
We looked at each other, silence everywhere. The worst part of it, he even blinked twice at me, making me to feel more stupid.
He didn't say anything, but he just turned and he walked away from me. I scoffed as I saw him walking away. It was starting to feel like a normal thing.
I stood and I just walked back into the hotel. I pressed the elevator button and it opened. Not surprised, I saw Henry in the elevator. He looked at me and he immediately took his eyes away from me. I forced a little smile and I just entered quietly.
He pressed the button, and the elevator was going up. I wandered my eyes around the elevator, not knowing what to do. Like everyone would expect, there was silence. The silence was draining and killing. I was just hoping for the elevator to open.
I was staying by his left side and our height difference was like those couples from Wattpad stories. I was literally 5ft7 and he seemed like he was 6ft3. I used my side eyes to look at him but he just seemed uninterested. I just wished I could imagine what he was thinking.
The elevator opened and I felt relieved. Before I could step out, he walked pass me like I was invisible. I frowned and I eyed him from behind.
I walked out of the elevator and I just entered my room. I jumped to my bed and I offed my shoes. I inhaled deeply and I slowly let it out. I had a smile on my face and all I could think about was him.
Those blue eyes that shined brightly when he gave his nonchalant look. For some reason, he just had the perfect shaped body, not even a single flop.
I heard the doorbell ring, snapping me from my thoughts. My brain corrected, what was I doing? Imagining him? Was I crazy?
"Come in!" I commanded.
The door opened, since it wasn't locked. It was one of the women who held the event.
I sat straight and she bowed her head in such a formal way.
"Good day ma'am." Her voice sounded extremely formal.
"Good day." I replied calmly.
"We are so sorry for not giving you your welcome party." She bowed her head again and her voice sounded the same. "Tomorrow night, at denoe hall, you will have your welcome party with the other members."
I sighed and I thought to myself, it would definitely be a good opportunity to get to know the other members.
"Okay." I smiled at her.
Her expression was still the same, she just bowed her head and she headed out.
I layed on my bed and I closed my eyes. It was time to sleep and free myself from all this stress.
------
I opened the wide, long and huge golden door. I used all the force I had and it opened widely. The denoe hall was extremely big, it was much bigger than an expensive wedding hall. Everyone was present, they all sat in the middle of the hall, at a very big round table and it was covered by a white table cloth, with nineteen people sitting round it. My seat was right in the middle of everyone and I could already see Emi beside my seat.
At the stage, in front of my seat, was where the four host were staying. They all dressed in black suits and black shirt with black heels.
My cloth was expensive and beautiful. I wore a black armless rosy designer gown. The upper part was fitted to my body, and the lower part flared to the ground, with a long split at the left side. I complimented it with my black ten inch heels. I wore a silver chair with a diamond pendant and a matching earring. I packed my hair in a bun and curled the sides of my hair, making it dangle as I moved.
I walked in majestically and everyone's gaze met mine. I was a little nervous at the sight of everyone but I made sure I climbed the five staircase, that lead into the place.
I walked further and I sat beside Emi. Everyone's gaze was still focused on me. It made me feel uncomfortable.
I looked at my dress and my gaze went to them. They all dressed simple, simple top and trousers. I felt so embarrassed but I made sure it didn't show.
The four of them came down from the stage and they walked towards us. They bowed their heads in uniformity.
"My name is Monica Andrew, I am the event manager." She smiled and she spoke in that formal tune. "These are Don, Triston and Isa." She directed her hands towards them.
"We assist her in this event. We make sure there are no complaints." Triston looked handsome but Don was definitely the opposite.
"We will make a toast and we will allow you to have fun with the other members." Monica smiled and she clapped her hands.
People dressed in navy blue suit and shirts for girls. The boys wore trousers of the girls' clothes. They came inside, and it seemed they were all waiting for her clap. They were almost twenty five and they held a bottle of wine, with its glass cup. They reached each person, and they served them their wine.
Monica collected a glass of wine from one of the staff. She raised her glass up, "why don't you make the toast, miss Susan?"
Everyone's glass was up in the air, even Henry. I smiled and I put my glass in the air.
"To my new start here!" I screamed cheerfully and I stood, clinging my glass to the air.
Nobody did so and they just looked at me, confused. I felt embarrassed again and I just sat down quietly.
The host left the party and the staff followed them.
I smiled, staring at the beautiful faces around me. They sipped their wine and did nothing.
"I mustn't lie, you are so pretty." She said cheerfully and she gave a cute face.
"Oh really?" I smiled intensively, I could feel my cheeks being red.
"My name is Joy." She smiled and her brown straight hair was packed in a ponytail.
She was definitely pretty but she looked very short. I wouldn't be surprised if she was 5ft tall.
------
We all laughed, at the joke Emi said. I already knew most people there and it had already been three hours. People had left. About six people. To my surprise Henry and Justin were still here. They both were extremely silent and I just wondered why they were here.
"I will take my leave now." Justin looked very frustrated and noninterested in our conversation.
The girls smiled at him and it was obvious, he was a lady's man. His expression was the same as always. He stood and he was heading out.
"I will leave too." Emi didn't bother waiting for a reply, she just followed him.
I was already feeling tired. It was already very late, I hardly stayed up this late.
"I should go now." I smiled at them.
"Oh okay. Good night." Joy had that beautiful smile.
I stood and I turned to my right. I moved my heels forward but it was stuck. I tried removing it, but it was really stuck.
"Fuck!" I cussed in such a rude way.
You couldn't blame me, it was so annoying. I didn't even know why it was stuck. I looked down and it was tired to the thread of my dress.
"Are you okay?" I could here her worried voice.
"I think it's stuck." I frowned from trying to remove it.
I dragged it with force and it finally removed but I heard a sound. I looked down and I saw my cloth split had cut further up. The force probably made my cloth to cut up.
There was silence. My eyes widened in shock, I did not even bother looking down again.
"Your cloth has cut!" Joy screamed.
