Chapter 27 - Dark, Ancient Bone.

I tore through the forest, my feet pounding against the ground, each step muffled by a thick layer of shattered bones. The air hung heavy with decay, the stench clinging to my nostrils as shadows twisted at the edges of my vision.

I pushed forward, ignoring the protests of my burning legs and the sharp pain rising in my chest.

I kept running with everything i had got.

At times, i stumbled and staggered y-et...this only ignited my determination to survive.

I had to.

The eerie silence wasn't silent. It felt weird... i-t was alive. Ominous and dreadful, it sent a weird chilling wind down my spine.

Dread settled within me, fear soon sank into me as i frantically ran.

Straining my muscle beyond their limits.

I became akin to a blur, as i blitzed through the abysmal-like forest. Rapidly moving pass the pile of bones and dried-up corpses.
