'Now. Where the hell is that forgotten path!'
I glanced at my surroundings, eyes darting from one crumbled building to another.
My eyes scanned the village for a while, yet i wasn't able to find anything ominous. From experience- what i always looked for were usually surrounded by amorphorous moving shadows.
But so far so good, i had encountered none.
I hadn't seen any supernatural creature- save for the one i fought with earlier on.
I also hadn't seen any moving mass of shadow- hence it made sense to assume there was no existing supernatural force in the village.
Exhaling sharply.
I ran a hand through my frost-bitten hair.
Looking ahead, i could feel its presence- it was cold, dark and ancient.
It wrapped and coiled around the atmosphere in a way that made the hair at the back of my neck stand on end.
Shoving down the unease that tugged at the walls of my mind.
'You can do this Dean! You have always.'
