**Chapter 24: Trigger the Main Storyline - The Holy Maiden of Oran City**

As Su Yu stood in the aftermath of the battle, he couldn't help but reflect on the encounter. "Tsk tsk, the law monsters in Novice Village are even less challenging than physics monsters," he remarked, shaking his head with a hint of amusement.

In truth, had Baron Wilson's fireballs actually hit, Su Yu would have met an untimely end. But the baron's spells had all missed their mark, leaving Su Yu with an impression of how ineffectual his foe truly was.

Stepping closer to Baron Wilson's lifeless body, Su Yu began to search for any useful items. As a quest boss, the baron had no concept of "first kill," so his drops were limited to just two items: a pair of cloth armor shoes and a skill scroll.

He examined the drops:

- **Full Moon Boots (Level 8, Excellent)**

- **Fireball (Normal) Skill Scroll**

Though the drops were few, both items were usable for Su Yu. The **Fireball** scroll could be learned immediately, while the **Full Moon Boots** would have to wait until he reached level 8.

Without hesitation, Su Yu opted to learn the **Fireball** skill and spent 1,100 psionic coins to upgrade it to a rare quality.

- **Fireball (Rare)**: Unleashes a fireball to attack the target, dealing 360% of spell power as fire damage, with a 40% chance to inflict a **Burning** state. The casting time is 0.5 seconds, and it costs 15 mana.

- **Burning**: Inflicts 15 fire damage per second for 4 seconds.

The **Fireball** spell was comparable to his **Lightning Bolt** in terms of single-target damage. If he faced a boss with high HP, the **Burning** effect would significantly amplify his damage output. However, given that Su Yu was currently capable of one-shotting most enemies, he found **Lightning Arrow** to be more practical for the time being.

After acquiring the spell, Su Yu left the baron's study to find Tina waiting anxiously just outside. Her worry was palpable as she nervously rubbed the corners of her clothes.

As Su Yu emerged, he saw her visibly relax. "Praise the gods! You're still alive, Nemesis! What a blessing!" she exclaimed, her relief evident.

"What, don't you want me to live?" Su Yu teased playfully.

"Of course not!" she replied, her face brightening with a smile.

"Alright then," he said, affectionately ruffling her hair. "Go to the Warriors Guild and bring Quinn back. We need to gather evidence of the baron's crimes; there's plenty to account for in the manor."

"Okay!" Tina nodded eagerly before setting off.

While Tina was away, Su Yu decided to comb through the study once more. His extensive gaming experience allowed him to uncover two critical pieces of evidence: a letter and Baron Wilson's diary.

Bored while waiting for Tina's return, Su Yu took it upon himself to direct the manor's guards and servants to uncover all the valuables the baron had amassed during his lifetime, as well as any women he had illegally detained. Unfortunately, these possessions were quest items and thus could not be taken by Su Yu.

About half an hour later, Quinn arrived with the members of the Warriors Guild. As she stepped into the study and beheld the charred corpse of Baron Wilson, her eyes widened in disbelief. "Adventurer, you killed Baron Wilson?!"

Su Yu simply nodded in response.

"Do you have any idea what a crime it is to kill a noble?" she pressed.

"Take a look at this," Su Yu replied, handing her the incriminating evidence.

Quinn took the items and examined them closely. The letter revealed Baron Wilson's correspondence with northern rebels, enough to condemn him of treason against the Empire. Such an offense could lead to severe penalties, even for a noble—death for him and punishment for his entire family.

"Thanks to you, not only are you innocent in his murder, but you've also done a great service to the Empire!" Quinn said, her voice filled with gratitude.

She retrieved two gold-plated medals from her pack and handed them to Su Yu. "This is a reward for your heroism! Please accept it!"

Su Yu's quest log updated with a new message:

"Ding! Your mission [Tina's Resistance] has been completed!"

"Due to your overachievement, the rewards have increased!"

"Task rewards: [Honor Medal (Excellent)] x2, Experience Points x1000."

- **Honor Medal (Excellent)**

*Description*: Awarded for outstanding contributions by major guilds.

*Usage*: Can be exchanged for a skill scroll of excellent quality that matches your level and class at the Mage Guild.

Given that Su Yu had completed the quest ahead of schedule, he received double the reward, much to his satisfaction.

"Thank you for your help! I truly appreciate it!" Quinn said sincerely, bowing slightly.

"Glad I could assist. I'll take my leave now," Su Yu replied with a smile, ready to head out.

"Goodbye, adventurer!" Quinn waved as he turned to leave.

Just as Su Yu was about to exit, a familiar voice called after him. "Nemesis, wait a moment!"

It was Tina, running up to him with a slight blush on her cheeks.

"What is it, Tina?" he asked, turning back to face her.

She stepped closer, her voice low and a little shy. "I'm going to the Warriors Guild later to test my talent. If I qualify, I'll be going to Oran City with Sister Quinn."

"Oh? And what do you want from me?"

"If you pass through Oran City, will you come to see me?" she asked softly. "I'll be all alone there, and it's a bit scary without friends or family."

Tina's earnestness tugged at Su Yu's heart. She handed him a receipt from the baron as a token.

Su Yu realized this was likely a follow-up quest, but his focus was on the main storyline about to unfold: **The Glory of the Plantagenet Empire**, which he anticipated would lead him to the imperial capital of Plantagenet City. Oran City, located over a thousand kilometers away, was not on his radar.

As he considered how to decline politely, the system notification chimed.

"Ding! You have triggered the main storyline [The Holy Maiden of Oran City]. Do you accept?"

Su Yu's eyes widened in surprise. A main storyline quest? And it revolved around the famous **Holy Maiden of Oran City** from his previous life!

"Tina, I—"

"Please don't reject me," she interjected, stepping forward to wrap her arms around him in a sudden hug.

In that moment, she slipped the receipt into his shirt pocket. "Remember to come see me!"

With that, she released him and dashed away, leaving Su Yu a little stunned.

"Looks like I don't have much choice," he mused, pulling out the receipt and chuckling softly. "Guess I'm committed now."

"Ding! You have accepted the main storyline [The Holy Maiden of Oran City]. Please proceed to the Plantagenet Empire - Oran City to start the main storyline."
