### Chapter 26: The Confrontation Between the Two Guilds
The village chief stood in the village entrance square, the very birthplace of every player. Here, newly spawned adventurers could accept a series of novice tasks from him. While these tasks offered mediocre rewards, they were a suitable introduction for players looking to ease into the game rather than dive straight into intense battles.
As a result, the village entrance square became a hub of activity, bustling with players bragging, chatting, and mingling in a lively atmosphere. Su Yu observed this vibrant scene with a sense of nostalgia.
In his previous life, when the game had launched six months prior, the player base was significantly larger, but the mood was vastly different. Most players had become aware of the **Skrulls** and treated the game as a serious endeavor, their excitement diminished by the pressures of competition. The square, once crowded with eager players, felt more desolate than lively back then.
Now, as Su Yu stood beside the village chief, boredom crept in. With half an hour to spare, he pondered a new idea. "The square is so lively now; why not invite the members of the **Heaven Slaying Guild** to join in? Engaging with others could be more entertaining than grinding through monsters."
With this thought, he opened the private chat interface.
**Su Yu:** "Are you there?"
**Heaven Slaying Sword:** "What's up?"
**Su Yu:** "About half an hour from now, a boss will spawn at the entrance square of No. 6 Novice Village."
Su Yu spoke the truth; the **[Dragon King of Star Casting]** was indeed a real boss.
**Heaven Slaying Sword:** "I'm at No. 6 Novice Village. What kind of boss? An Easter egg boss, or a monster siege?"
Given his extensive gaming experience, Heaven Slaying Sword quickly grasped the implications of a boss encounter.
**Su Yu:** "I'm not entirely sure. According to the rumors, it was summoned by the Emperor Blood Guild."
**Heaven Slaying Sword:** "Emperor Blood! I'll be there soon!"
In the area of the Level 4 **[Hillside Sheep]**, Heaven Slaying Sword put down his sword and shield, his expression turning cold as he glanced toward Novice Village.
"Boss, what's going on?" asked Hornet, pausing from his archery practice.
"Here's the deal," Heaven Slaying Sword explained, recounting Su Yu's message.
Bumblebee's eyes lit up. "Since it's a boss summoned by Emperor Blood, we have to take it down! This is our chance to avenge the brothers!"
"I agree," Heaven Slaying Sword said, nodding. "Qingli, send a private message to all mid-level members. Gather everyone at the village square in No. 6!"
"Got it, boss," Qingli replied.
Just as the swordsman returned to the village, Su Yu reached out to the True Red-Eyed Black Dragon.
**Su Yu:** "Red-Eyed, the **Heaven Slaying Guild** is planning to summon a boss in our Novice Village square. Interested?"
**True Red-Eyed Black Dragon:** "What kind of boss?"
**Su Yu:** "Rumor has it it's the boss tied to the last link of a quest chain, and Heaven Slaying Sword and his core team are taking it very seriously."
**True Red-Eyed Black Dragon:** "Got it. I'll ask our president."
**Su Yu:** "Can you not send emojis?"
**True Red-Eyed Black Dragon:** "I'll do my best."
The True Red-Eyed Black Dragon ended the chat and forwarded the conversation to Emperor Blood Killing Heaven.
After about a minute, a response arrived: "Ling Feng and I will bring our people over. Zhenhong, meet us there. But remember, grabbing the boss is crucial. Try to avoid conflicts with the Heaven Slaying Guild. We don't want to escalate things unnecessarily."
**True Red-Eyed Black Dragon:** "Understood, President!"
With a spark of excitement, the True Red-Eyed Black Dragon turned to his teammates. "Let's go! Gather everyone; we're heading to No. 6 Novice Village right now!"
Wing Shenlong, the blond beauty, tossed her hair. "Oh? Back to No. 6 Novice Village? Is it because of that Nemesis guy? You're just running over there?"
**True Red-Eyed Black Dragon:** "…"
The red-haired little girl, Sky Dragon, looked disheartened. "Uncle Red, why hasn't Brother Nemesis accepted my friend requests?"
"Maybe he's not into little girls," the True Red-Eyed Black Dragon replied casually. "Now, let's hurry! We need to get there quickly; this is the president's order, and if we're late, we could miss our bonus!"
"Understood," the three teammates replied, following him out of the training area.
With Su Yu's encouragement, the atmosphere in the Nolan Village Square became electric with anticipation.
Heaven Slaying Sword arrived first with his team, patiently waiting. As time passed, hundreds of **Heaven Slaying Guild** members from various directions converged on the square, swelling their numbers to four or five hundred, claiming half of the square.
Emperor Blood Killing Heaven and the True Red-Eyed Black Dragon quickly arrived from their respective novice villages. In *Evolution*, transferring between villages was simple; players just needed to speak to the NPC **[Carrier]** without any fees.
This convenience allowed players to team up with friends in different villages or move to less crowded areas for leveling.
There was no concern about "Transferring to the Village and Grabbing the Hidden Mission" either, as each hidden quest possessed a "unique" attribute. If a player triggered one, no one else could start it, regardless of their village or server.
The members of the **Emperor Blood Guild** also gathered swiftly. Upon arrival, they surrounded Emperor Blood Killing Heaven and the True Red-Eyed Black Dragon, amassing around two or three hundred players, claiming a quarter of the square.
Upon seeing the **Emperor Blood Guild**, many players from the **Heaven Slaying Guild** felt a rush of adrenaline, especially given the recent "forum storm." They were eager for confrontation, hoping for a command to charge at each other.
Tension hung in the air as both guilds eyed one another, their hostility palpable.
"Boss, should we make the first move and challenge Emperor Blood?" Decepticon suggested to Heaven Slaying Sword.
"No," Heaven Slaying Sword replied, maintaining his composure. "The summoning of the boss is under their control. Let's focus on securing this boss first, then we can deal with them."
"Understood, boss," Decepticon acknowledged, swinging his green-quality two-handed sword in a display of power.
Emperor Blood Killing Heaven remained composed, knowing his guild was outmatched. He did his best to keep his members calm, urging them not to provoke the **Heaven Slaying Guild**.
In the square, the two major guilds formed distinct factions, a stark division between them.
Though the two sides didn't engage in battle, the atmosphere crackled with tension, each group ready for a fight, waiting for the moment to explode.
