Chapter 7 - 00.21.1

The girl was taken back to the underground dungeon, just as she had the past twenty times she lived out this life.

The first thing they did to her when they took her down there, was brand a symbol on her. She was now a slave. Slaves are not human, and thus should not be treated as one. It may give them the wrong idea after all.

The girl had already gotten used to how things worked around here, which freaked out the knights a little. The priests were ecstatic though. They had the perfect little slave to use that didn't even require any pruning! It was like it was a gift from God!

Years had gone by once again, and once again, the girl had died at the altar after having her powers stolen from her.

Once again, she had visited that precious moment in time with her mother. And once again, she had witnessed the fall of the hero, the death of her mother.

This time, they had cut off her head.

Then she was cut straight in half.

Next up, through the stomach.

Then into her heart.

Half way through her neck.

Split through the middle.

Across her chest again.

It was a never ending cycle.

Every time, the girl's mother would desperately reach out to her child, even while on the brink of death. Every time, she would come so close, yet so far. All to protect her one and only precious child.

Once again, she reaches out to her precious daughter. She could only reach with her right arm because this time, they cut through her diagonally from her left shoulder to her waist.

Surprisingly, she made it! It was the first time the girl's mother had reached her daughter! What a turn of events!

She presses the palm of her hand, covered in her own blood, to the girl's cheek, and says something with a smile on her face and tears hanging from her eyes, refusing to fall.

She trembles as she tells her beloved child, "I love you my child."

Her hand falls, and with it, her life escapes her.

For the first time in a very very long time, the girl had cried. She did not understand what was happening at first. She thought she may have drowned again, but no. It was her tears. Tears had fallen from her eyes for the first time in decades, perhaps even a century.

She had regained her will, her resolve to fight back.

The knights did not know that of course. They just thought she was scared. But no, the girl was angry. Furious.
