"Hello, my dear! What's wrong? Is everything okay?" Dona Elisa asked, always concerned.
"Hi, Grandma! Everything's great, in fact, I'm calling to tell you some news," Matthew replied excitedly.
"Oh, dear! You know I love news. What happened? Did you win the lottery?" she joked, making him laugh.
"No, but it's almost as good as that. Emily and I… we've made our relationship official!" Matthew declared, his heart racing as he shared the news.
"Oh my God, Matthew! I'm so happy for you! Emily is such a wonderful girl. You know that, don't you?" The joy in Dona Elisa's voice was contagious.
"I know, Grandma. She's amazing and she makes me feel complete. I was a little worried about how it would be, but after all, I think it's the best decision I've ever made," he confessed.
Dona Elisa let out a soft laugh. "You've always had a good heart, my son. Now, you have to take care of her and make her know how special she is to you."
"You'll do it! I'll do my best. And by the way, we're planning a trip to Paris!" Matthew announced, barely able to contain his excitement.
"Paris! How romantic! This is perfect! You know I've always wanted you and her to have wonderful experiences together. When are you going?"
"We're looking into it for next month. I want it to be a special surprise for her. We'll take a tour of the entire city and visit the most famous landmarks," he replied, daydreaming about the possibilities.
"That sounds wonderful, honey! Paris is a city full of love. Make sure to take lots of pictures. And don't forget to enjoy the local cuisine! You and Emily need to eat croissants and macarons," Miss Elisa said, her enthusiasm evident.
"Definitely! I'll make sure we try everything. Grandma, I really feel like I'm making the right choice with Emily. I'm so happy," he commented, feeling a surge of emotion.
"I'm so proud of you, Matthew. Don't forget to keep me updated on everything. I want to hear every detail about this trip and how you plan to win her heart even more," she urged, her voice full of love and support.
"Of course! I'll tell you everything as soon as I get back. I love you, Grandma!" Matthew said, feeling lighter and happier after the conversation.
"I love you too, my dear. Good night, and remember, whenever you need me, I'll be here for you," she replied before hanging up.
After the call, Matthew sat on his couch, his heart filled with joy. He began to mentally plan the details of the trip and how he would make everything perfect for Emily. He knew he wanted a romantic moment, something that would become an unforgettable memory for both of them.
