He awoke near the water, gasping for air. As Sung Jae walked towards the lake shore, a man appeared in front of him. "Sir, are you okay? What has happened to you? "He replied, "I was drowning. I can't recall anything," Sung Jae realized he was in an unfamiliar place. Sung Jae addressed the man, "Hey, do you know where I am?" I don't know this place. I've never been here before". The man helps Sung Jae to get dry clothes.
At the man's residence "You need to change your clothes here. I just have this," Sung Jae replied, "It's okay sir, I appreciate it very much". When Sung Jae entered the bathroom, he noticed that the items they were using were strange to him. "I already saw these things in those old dramas in Joseon dynasty," in his mind, "Am I crazy, or am I dreaming?" After washing his face, Sung Jae discovers that there was an argument outside. "Your highness, I told you Hyun Sik was not here anymore," said the man to someone. The man dismounted his horse and the man who helped Sung Jae said, "He already left yesterday; I didn't know where he went." Sung Jae was fleeing when he tripped over a boulder and fell in front of the man dressed in traditional Korean attire, who was pointing a sword at the man who helped Sung Jae. Feeling humiliated, Sung Jae got up and shouted, "Why are you pointing your sword at my uncle?!" "How dare you raise your voice to the king?" the soldier shot back. In Sung Jae's thoughts, "What King?!?" The person that showed up in my dreams was King Sang Woo, the one inside the painting. The king ordered his soldier to let him talk, to which Sung Jae replied, "Why are you doing this to my uncle?" Sang Woo was looking at Sung Jae with a humid eye and an expression of sadness. The king and his army left from the uncle's house of Sung Jae.
Sung Jae was confused because he saw the king of Gyeongbokgung palace in Joseon dynasty. "Am I dreaming?! Or I am literally being crazy right now. I don't even know where I am". Sung Jae asked the uncle "Hey mister, is that really the king of the blood? King Sang Woo?!" uncle replied "Hey, Hyun Sik, are you out of your mind?! Why are you suddenly acting like you don't know a thing? Don't you remember you're the one who made the king act wild last week? You dumped him" Sung Jae was in complete shock "Me? I dumped the king?" Sung Jae was in disbelief and started to act like drunk "What have I done? I thought I already died".
Sung Jae's uncle told him to get some water. Sung Jae left and went to the well to fill the buckets with water.
The king, who believed Sung Jae to be his beloved Hyun Sik, is still in shock. When the king got to the palace, he started crying uncontrollably and was nearly out of breath. He wanted to sneak in and check out Sung Jae, so he went for a walk. He noticed Sung Jae carrying a few water-filled buckets. He would like to help Sung Jae, but he is powerless to do so for fear of being seen. "If you only knew how much I have missed you, my love," he thought to himself, perhaps I should avoid you.
Sung Jae notices that someone was watching him, so he decided to chase that. Sung Jae saw who was watching him, he was shocked because the king was the one who was watching him. Sung Jae's mind "Why is the king watching me, and before he left yesterday. I saw him crying." Sung Jae covered the king's eyes with his hands. The king was flustered and grabbed Sung Jae's waist not knowing it was him, they both fell to the ground. The king face is facing the face of Sung Jae. When our eyes met, a profound connection surged between us, as if destiny had brought us together. It felt like I had always known his face, his eyes shimmering with an enchanting brilliance that drew me in completely, leaving my heart spellbound and yearning for more. The king said "What are you doing? If I have a sword right now, I could have killed you! Are you out of your mind Hyun Sik?!" Sung Jae replied "You are the one who's spying on me. Yet you are the one who is mad, and who is Hyun Sik. My name is Sung Jae, Kim Sung Jae" Sung Jae smirks at the king. The king started crying and said "Hyun Sik, why did you leave me? Why?" Sung Jae realizes that one of his visions was in this scene. He remembers that the king already said that in his vision. Sung Jae replied "Are you crazy? Why would I leave you? I have never met you before" The king was confused by what Sung Jae had said. Sung Jae said "I need to bring these buckets back. See you next time, Your highness." The king was left confused.
The king got back to the palace and thought about what Sung Jae had said to him. "What does he mean that he never met me?" The king was dying out of curiosity about that.
