The night had passed, and Sung Jae suddenly experienced a vivid vision, "Don't kill him, please! Kill me instead!" Sung Jae found himself out of breath and in tears, bewildered by the vision. "What was that? Who killed the king? Why was I there? What's the true connection between the king and me?" he wondered.
Soon after, his uncle called him, asking him to buy rice flour to cook a special dish for his birthday celebration. While Sung Jae went out to get the rice flour, a plan had been brewing between his uncle and the king during a conversation the day before. The king had asked for his uncle's help, saying, "Uncle, please help me find a way to celebrate Sung Jae. I want to do something special, but I have to be discreet. The people might get suspicious if they see me openly celebrating."
At the market, Sung Jae bought a heavy sack of rice but struggled to lift it. A man approached, offering help. Although hesitant, Sung Jae let him carry the rice. As they made their way to his uncle's house, the king spotted them. "What's this man doing with you, Sung Jae?!" Sang Woo asked angrily. The man replied, "Relax, your majesty. I just helped him with the rice since he was struggling." Unmoved, Sang Woo grabbed Sung Jae's arm with a tight grip. "Leave now, Sang Min, or face the consequences. And don't touch Sung Jae again!" he warned. Sung Jae was left baffled by the king's hostility.
They returned home and prepared food for the celebration. Later, Sung Jae confronted Sang Woo. "What's wrong with you? Your brother was just helping me," he protested. Sang Woo explained, "You don't know him like I do. He resents me for being king in his place." Shocked, Sung Jae responded, "I had no idea. I promise I won't let him near me again." Sang Woo was relieved and hugged him, but Byeong Cheol happened to witness this scene, growing irritated. Nonetheless, he managed to keep his emotions in check and approached them. "How's it going?" he asked casually. "You're here, Cheol! Sit down," Sung Jae said, gesturing to him.
As Byeong Cheol sat down, a tense, silent exchange unfolded between him and Sang Woo, each one's gaze filled with competitive intensity. Sung Jae's uncle then brought out drinks, Byeong Cheol and Sang Woo drank continuously until they were far from sober. Their inhibitions vanished, and the two started dancing wildly, much to the amusement of Sung Jae and his uncle, who laughed at the display. Sang Woo and Byeong Cheol were exhausted and eventually collapsed outside they both fell asleep
Sung Jae tidied up the table, but before he could finish, Sang Woo grabbed his waist, saying, "I'm not drunk, Hyun Sik. Not yet. I've missed you. Why did you leave me?" Sung Jae froze, unable to respond. "Why did you go? I know you still love me," Sang Woo continued before pulling him into a kiss, catching Sung Jae by surprise but unable to resist the moment.
Later, Sung Jae carried both Sang Woo and Byeong Cheol inside and washed them before succumbing to exhaustion himself. The next morning, he awoke to find both men clinging to him, unable to move his arms. Frustrated, he could only wait for them to wake up.
