Chapter 6 - Medure headquarters

Night in Minerva's room, after finishing their meal, Minasa vanished once again, leaving only Minerva and Naviga. Naviga knelt in front of Minerva, taking a red nail polish from her space ring. Carefully, she polished Minerva's toes, then moved on to her fingers, ensuring everything matched her fiery red hair and eyes. She then took out a pair of elegant red heels, slipping them onto Minerva's feet, completing her striking and coordinated look.

"Miss, you're ready now. We can go out," Naviga said.

Minerva nodded but suddenly asked, "Does the owner know we're here?"

"No, Miss. Considering my sister's actions, she wouldn't have shown us to the owner. So, the owner doesn't know we're here," Naviga replied calmly.

Minerva nodded in understanding. "Then I think we should go invisibly. Use the talismans, Miss," Naviga suggested.

Minerva retrieved an invisibility talisman from her space ring, which was set with red gems. From the ring, she produced two black talismans marked with glowing white runes. After giving one to Naviga, she kept the other for herself. Both infused their talismans with Universal Essence, activating the runes which began to emit a faint glow. They attached the talismans to their bodies, and in an instant, they disappeared from view, becoming completely invisible.

They stealthily proceeded to the upper floor. At the same time, Minasa entered the room, holding two keys. She calmly made her way to the inn's reception desk to return the keys. The receptionist accepted them with a polite smile, saying, "Come again," though her curiosity about why a single person had rented two rooms was quickly overshadowed by the heavy aura radiating from Minasa. Having worked at the inn for four years, the receptionist recognized the distinction between patrons she could inquire about and those she could not.

Minasa then exited the inn and discreetly left the small town, completely unnoticed by the guards at the gates. No one realized that three individuals had walked right past them. Outside the town, near a tree alongside the road, the invisibility of Minerva and Naviga's talismans ended, revealing them once again, though Minasa had already sensed their presence despite the talismans.

Minasa produced a small boat-like device from her space ring. Upon activation, it transformed into a large airboat that could accommodate up to five people. Although Minasa possessed more powerful treasures, she opted for this unassuming Phase-level weapon to maintain a low profile during the quiet night. Despite being a lower-grade treasure, Minasa handled it effortlessly, as if it were merely a child's toy.

Those below the 6th Essence Core level were unable to fly, so Minasa effortlessly lifted both Minerva and Naviga onto the airboat. Infusing it with Universal Essence, she executed a swift motion, and the boat soared into the sky, racing through the air like a bullet train.

After more than three hours of travel, they arrived at an enormous city. Towering walls, rising over 10 meters high, encircled the bustling settlement. The skyline was dotted with tall buildings, their architecture reminiscent of the medieval period, boasting intricate designs and robust wooden exteriors.

By the city walls, a vibrant scene unfolded. Inns and various establishments clustered around the city's edge, their warm lights and wooden structures creating a welcoming ambiance. Even in the late night Throngs of people congested near the grand gates, either entering or leaving the city. Caravans piled with goods, horse-drawn carts, and pedestrians contributed to the lively atmosphere. The city and city full of magic bulbs made city more beautiful. The city gates were immense, matching the scale of the walls, with long lines of people and traders eagerly waiting for their chance to enter. The air buzzed with conversation, the sounds of hooves, and the vibrant activity, reflecting the city's dynamic and flourishing character.

They flew to the center of the city. Once inside, they saw a bustling crowd—merchants, travelers, and locals filling the streets. Finally, they arrived at the largest building in the city.

The building stood nearly 100 feet tall, with glass windows covering the lower half. Above the glass, the upper section of the building was painted in maroon on three sides, while the front featured golden paint and a red fire logo carved into it.

The rooftop was vast, with antennas at each corner, all engraved with golden runes also near antennas magic bulb who illuminating roof top. These antennas served as protection for the building, activating automatically to create a round barrier in case of an enemy attack.

On one edge of the rooftop, there was a special cage-like area designed for parking flying beasts. The rooftop was reserved only for special guests, with a red fire logo painted at the center. Two guards in red uniforms could be seen standing on the roof.

This building is the Medure business headquarters in this galaxy. Their main business focuses on women's products, including jewelry, lipstick, perfume, makeup, skincare, hair care, accessories, clothing, handbags, and shoes. This building has more than 20 floors, and from the ground floor to the 10th floor, it showcases their products. In this universe, technology and craftsmanship are far more advanced than in the modern world, making every product here superior to anything from the modern era.

The airboat flew toward the center of the rooftop. Minasa stepped out first, followed by Minerva and Naviga. After they disembarked, Minasa shrank the airboat and stored it in her space ring.

When they arrived, the guards in red uniforms approached and saluted the trio. Also the guards promptly opened the doors for them. They walked inside and approached a glass lift. One of the guards opened the lift door and gestured for them to enter. The three stepped into the lift, and the door closed behind them.

Minerva took out a jade slip marked with a red fire logo and inserted it into a designated slot on the lift panel. The jade slip was scanned, and the lift began descending. After moving one floor down, the lift came to a halt, and the doors slid open. Standing outside was a stunning woman with black hair, who greeted them warmly.

"Miss, please come with me," the black-haired woman said politely, leading Minerva and her companions down a hallway. They arrived at a glass door with a blurred surface. The woman tapped lightly on the door, and it slid open.

Inside the room stood a man with black hair and piercing red eyes. As Minerva and her entourage entered, he gestured toward the main seat at the head of the table. "Miss, please sit here," he said respectfully.

Minerva walked confidently to the table in the office and sat in the main chair, her posture regal. Naviga and Minasa positioned themselves behind her. The man stepped forward to stand across the table from Minerva, maintaining a formal demeanor.

Naviga's gaze swept over the office. The room was magnificent, painted in a rich maroon hue. On the left wall hung a large portrait of a striking woman with red hair and eyes—Medure's legendary founder, who had risen to the 7th Galaxy. Beneath the portrait were smaller images of eight former heirs who came to this galaxy. On the opposite side, a wooden shelf displayed an array of precious gemstones—rubies, emeralds, sapphires, silver crystals, and more.

Behind the office table was a full glass wall, offering a view of the city. The table itself was cluttered with files and artifacts, some of which glimmered faintly with magical energy.

Minerva's sharp eyes met the man's. He bowed slightly before speaking. "Miss, if I had known you were arriving, I would have come to greet you on the rooftop."

"It's okay," Minerva replied calmly, dismissing his concern. Her tone quickly shifted to one of authority. "Alex, I want a report on the activities of every member of family over the past month. You have 30 minutes. Can you do it?"

Alex's eyes trembled slightly at her words. He didn't understand why the miss seemed so angry this time, but the demand was sudden and overwhelming, also he knew that if something went wrong, his position as the patriarch of family would be in loose.

He hesitated. "Miss, may I ask why—"

Minerva's sharp gaze cut him off, her voice cold. "Just do as I said. Once your task is complete, I will tell you why."

Minasa, standing behind Minerva, unleashed a faint aura of pressure, filling the room with an icy tension. The black-haired secretary and Alex both trembled under the weight of Minerva's commanding presence and Minasa's silent reinforcement.

"Y-Yes, Miss. I will provide the family members' activity report within 30 minutes," Alex replied, his voice trembling.

"Good, then go and collect it," Minerva said firmly.

Alex saluted and quickly moved toward the door, but as he passed by the secretary, Minerva's voice rang out. "Wait," she commanded. "I want her here."

Alex paused, his face momentarily pale, then nodded and left the room hastily. The black-haired secretary, visibly nervous, stood frozen. Minerva turned her sharp gaze toward her. "What is your name?" Minerva asked.

"Amira," the woman replied timidly.

Minerva's expression remained unreadable. "So, Amira, how many years have you been working for the this company?"

"More than 20 years, Miss," Amira answered, her voice trembling slightly.

"Then you've been working with Alex for the same amount of time?" Minerva probed.

Amira nodded quickly, fear evident in her posture.

Minerva's tone grew colder. "Who has Alex been in contact with this month?"

Amira swallowed hard and hesitated before responding. "He... he has only been meeting with big merchants and a few Medure branch business executives," she stammered, her voice trembling more with each word.

Minerva's sharp eyes narrowed further, causing Amira to fidget nervously. Silence filled the office as Minerva studied her carefully, the tension in the air almost palpable.

After a long pause, Minerva broke the silence. "How has the business been this month?" she asked, her voice softer but still commanding.

Amira spoke nervously, "Good, Miss. There was no loss this month."

Minerva nodded and then said, "Bring me the building's camera footage."

In the Medure family headquarters, magic cameras were used to store images and videos. These cameras were unique: a black stone would capture images, while a white stone stored the videos. The stones were enhanced with runes, allowing them to function for a full month before needing to be swapped out. Once the video was stored in the white stone for a month, another stone would be inserted to replace it. These stones were very expensive, but the Medure family had no problem covering the costs. In fact, merchants who sold these stones were associated with the Medure family.

Amira went to the table, where she retrieved the black and white cubes. She placed her badge, marked with the red fire logo, above the cube, and then returned it to her neck. The cube opened slightly, and a blue screen appeared before them. The screen measured nearly 3 meters in width and 2 meters in height, divided into two halves: one side black and the other side white. The white side displayed live video, while the black side remained blank until the image was captured. By placing a finger on the black cube, one could use it like a mouse to control the footage. Clicking on the cube would allow them to pause or view the desired footage.

The technology in this world was nothing short of magnificent. Naviga was astonished; they didn't have computers or mobiles or televisions, but the similar products in this universe were even more advanced. They using runes here instead of wire. Minerva, Naviga, and Minasa all gazed at the screen, watching the every floor footage in live.

Thirty minutes later, Alex arrived, his anxiety palpable. He opened the door and hurriedly approached Minerva. "Miss, this is the record of this month's intelligence on family members," Alex said, handing her a jade slip the size of an index finger.

Minerva took the jade slip and placed it on her forehead. The information flooded her mind, revealing the activities of 50 family members, including maids and guards, over the past month. As she read through the details, Minerva found no indication of contact with the Redit family or any suspicious individuals. So far, nothing pointed to any family members being involved in questionable activities.

Morethan 15 minutes later, Minerva looked at Alex and then said, "Watch every member in the main family for the next 3 months. Tell me if anything suspicious happens, including the maids and guards."

Alex nodded, fear in his eyes, and asked, "Why, miss? Can I know the reason?"

Minerva replied in a slightly cold tone, "Someone is trying to assassin me"

Alex and Amira both trembled. Now they knew why Minerva was asking about the family members' activities and monitoring future actions—she suspected there might be a traitor among them.

Alex thought to himself, It must be the Redit family... but no, they wouldn't have the guts unless orders came from the 7th Galaxy. I don't think there's anyone backing the Redit family, or another group.

While he was thinking, Minerva got up and walked toward the door, saying, "I will return in 3 months, so do your job." She, Naviga, and Minasa left the office room.

When Alex saw them leave, he hurriedly said, "I will accompany you to the rooftop."

"There's no need," Minerva replied. "You can stay and work."

With that, they walked to the lift, placed the jade slip, and entered.

When the three of them entered, Naviga asked Minerva, "Miss, there are no suspicious figures in the information?"

Minerva replied to Naviga, "No, everyone seems clean, like good people. But I know this face—now they appear good because I'm here. As the heir of their family, how could they dare to do anything nasty? But now, it's confirmed. Most likely, the Redit family received orders from above, or the Phantom Cult did. No matter who it is, I will destroy their base."

Minerva had made the decision to destroy the enemy.

As they reached the top of the building, Naviga asked, "So, what are we doing now, Miss?"

The guards opened the door, and they stepped onto the roof. Minerva replied, "We will take a look around Medure City first. After that, we'll head to the Three Volcanic Mountains to gather the Violet Inferno Flower."

Naviga and Minasa nodded in agreement. Minasa retrieved the airboat from earlier, helped Naviga and Minerva aboard, and they began their descent toward the city below.
