"So Alec, when do I expect to be an aunt also?" Erica raised an enthusiastic brow at her brother but he didn't look like he was going to answer that question.
"Oh I'd make sure you don't have to wait for so long" Raquel winked at her causing Alec to look at her.
"Great! I need triplets!" She counted with her fingers "one.. two.. three big babies, two soldiers and a princess"
"There is too much work to do for three big babies, but I will work hard and won't disappoint you" Raquel declared confidently and Alec couldn't believe they were so casual talking about this like it was the weather they were talking about.
"I will really look forward to that"
"You already got two, how rigorous was the work?"
"Rigorous? I'd say 'intense' instead" Erica smirked
"Damn! I could imagine, mind sharing some helpful tips?" Raquel asked with utmost interest.
Alec coughed slightly, what the fuck? He already saw this coming when he switched to face time, he knows Erica was going to like Raquel's personality and may not get off the phone till the next day.
He needs to contact his assistant Dave for something important, and what the heck where they talking about?!
"Why not? Those are sis in law's duties!" Erica winked at Raquel and rolled her eyes at Alec who was shaking his head negatively.
"Erica she is still a ki-" The feel her soft lips placed on his suddenly made him unable to say the rest of whatever he wanted to say.
"Awwnn this is so cute!!!"
Alec pulled away immediately knowing that it was best he left them alone now.
"Sis, don't you have something to do? like go feed your kids or something" he briskly said and left.
"G.r.u.m.p.y.!.!" Erica elaborated and snorted at him.
"Now come close Raquel, this one is top secret, never to be leaked. It's your utmost trump card!" She beckoned for Raquel to come close with her finger and she brought her ear closer to the phone.
Erica came closer, placing her hand on her screen and made a whispering gesture as she said something to Raquel.
"....w....h....i..…s....p....e.....r.....s...."
"Yooh!!!!" Raquel exclaimed with a mischievous smirk tugging at her lips as she was already thinking of what she was going to do with the tips.
"Trust me, it's very effective... but you might want to level up your game, considering you aim for three cutie pies!"
...
Meanwhile Alec took a stroll in the little garden on his secluded house, he sat serenely, surrounded by vibrant blooms and lush greenery.
Soft rays of the warm evening sunset danced across his features, illuminating the gentle lines of his face and highlighted his calm, peaceful expression as he took a deep breath to clear his mind.
His dark hair was mussed, he had a contented gaze looking out at the beautiful flowers as the scent of blooming lavender and rose filled the air and mingled with the earthy aroma of the garden.
Time seemed to have stood still at the vision of his sheer handsomeness and soothing stance, as if nature itself had embraced him.
He thought about many things, they were supposed to go back tomorrow, but plans would change now because of Erica, he would go visit her tomorrow instead and head back the day after tomorrow with Raquel.
He was going to call Dave book a flight for them to San Francisco, where Erica said she lived with her husband but it doesn't look like he would be getting his phone back anytime soon.
And he couldn't use the private jet because he wasn't at home and that would also make his father find out where he was. He was going to inform them but that would be after they were already back.
A year ago Erica had gone missing the night before her arranged wedding with Nathan Stone, the second heir of the Stone family and third richest family in Kensington, after the Ross family and Quin family ranked first.
She fell in love with a man from an average family Justin Reed, and their parents, especially his father had vehemently disapproved of them being together, eventually setting a date for her marriage with Nathan, she had agreed to marry Nathan at some point, only for her to go missing the night before their wedding and Nathan himself, who wasn't exactly excited about the marriage couldn't be more glad about her disappearance.
He knew Nathan must have helped her or they had some kind of negotiation because she couldn't have been able to evade all the securities by herself alone without being discovered.
They found out that she had eloped with Justin Reed and for some reason, his parents didn't pursue the marriage anymore so he guessed they would be rather happy to know they had grandchildren now.
