Grandmother Sindhya asked several questions, and Sindhya answered them impressively. Grandmother was impressed with Sindhya.
The girl who was arguing, Rima, said, "Madam Oberoi, how can you reject me and hire her? She doesn't even have qualifications."
Grandmother thought for a moment and said, "You're right, Rima." Rima continued arguing, but Sindhya remained unfazed.
Just then, Ashwika ran in with her doll and called Sindhya "Mommy." Sindhya was taken aback. Ashwika tripped, and Sindhya caught her.
The hall fell silent, with everyone staring at Sindhya and Ashwika. Ashwin arrived, recognizing Sindhya as the hospital girl who had donated blood to his child.
Sindhya explained that Doctor Kutkutia had sent her for the caretaker job. Grandmother was overjoyed, knowing Sindhya was the blood donor.
Grandmother decided Sindhya would care for Idhansh, but Rima pleaded, citing her need for the job to fund her father's operation. Grandmother sympathized and offered Rima a job on a shift basis with Sindhya.
Ashwin clarified that Sindhya and Rima would work alternate shifts, and the better performer would permanently care for Idhansh.
Sindhya hesitated, citing her father's disapproval, but Grandmother compromised: Sindhya would care for Idhansh during the day, and Rima at night.
Rima left to collect her belongings, excited to stay in the large house and plotting to manipulate Ashwin. Sindhya followed the butler to Idhansh's room.
The room's theme was divided into two parts: pink and white with dessert decorations for Ashwika and black and white with car and robot decorations for Idhansh.
Idhansh sat on his bed, looking at a picture book. Sindhya entered, greeting him. Idhansh looked up, and after a moment, said "Mommy."
Sindhya was perplexed, wondering why both children called her "Mommy." She thought maybe they didn't have a mother and decided to play along.
Idhansh smiled, enjoying Sindhya's company. Sindhya sat beside him, asking if she could care for him. Idhansh nodded, saying, "You'll take care of me, right? Like Kelly does?"
Sindhya agreed, and Idhansh smiled. She began dressing him.
