Godfrey lands on the ground and immediately kneels. The power that was overflowing in his body melts away. His body is wracked with a pulsating agony.
'What is happening?'
He looks deep in his body and realises that his lightning has gone dormant.
'I see. I am not yet strong enough to sustain that power. I must focus on recovery.'
Godfrey laboriously walks up to Saxcis' body and holds the chains that bind him. He looks up and realises that he is far from the Mars base. Nothing looks familiar. He decides to fly up and scout but is unable to escape the shackles of gravity.
"Damn it. What did I expect."
Godfrey drags Saxcis along and starts to climb the tallest mountain of the few that remain. He reaches the peak and looks out into the distance at the beautiful red of Mars, as he thinks to himself.
'How far did he hit me?'

Mars base
.
.
A spaceship slowly lands and the door opens. Calanthe propels herself out of the shop and heads straight for the base with Ambrose leaping close behind.
They see the battlefield filled with sprawled out people, who just so happen to be waking up. One hero sees Ambrose and Calanthe and calls out to them, but they continue to the base.
Ambrose sees fallen buildings and thinks to check them for any survivors but notices that the buildings seem to have been lifted and dropped out of the way of the roads. He stops and Calanthe raises a questioning eyebrow.
"What's happening dear? We need to find Godfrey!"
Ambrose says nothing as he points. Calanthe looks and finally sees what he was pointing at.
The road is lined by bodies of people and families of all races as far as the eye can see. They are badly marred but laid down neatly and respectfully. Ambrose hangs his head in silence, and Calanthe does the same.
After a minute, they continue their search for Godfrey. They find survivors but see no sign of their son.
They head to the academy and see the number 7 hero, Blitz, knocked out on the ground. Ambrose puts him into a sitting position and starts shaking him awake.
Blitz gradually wakes up from the super powered shaking, and his eyes regain their focus.
"Huh? Ambrose? Calanthe? How are you here?"
Calanthe grabs him by the shoulders and hurriedly asks him.
"Where is my son?"
Blitz looks confused for a second and then his eyes widen in fear.
"He went to the teleporter room!!"
Blitz, Calanthe and Ambrose burst into motion and make their way to the teleporter, but find all the teleportation channels closed except for one.
Blitz panics and speaks apologetically.
"That teacher over there had the purple pass. There's only one. I think Godfrey went to the chamber. Even at my top speed, I'd need a day to get there."
Ambrose turns to him and nods.
"Then we'd better prepare and head out."
With Godfrey
'I never noticed that Mars was this dusty.'
Godfrey treks along a mountain pass while dragging Saxcis' body. He has no mercy for the psychopath and allows him to smash into the rocks.
*bang*
"Gah!! What?!! Where am I?"
Godfrey smirks and continues walking in silence. Saxcis tries to struggle but the lightning chains hold steady. He gives up after being dragged for 30 minutes. With a snarl he does his best to turn to Godfrey.
"This place is doomed you know. When my people find out about this place, they'll tear it ASUNDER. When they find out what you did to me, they'll rip you apart. Do yourself a favour. Release me, then swear your loyalty, and maybe I'll consider sparing you."
Godfrey simply walks ahead while dragging Saxcis. In the distance, a massive dust storm looms. Godfrey sees this and sets out to find shelter.
After 20 minutes, he finds a cave and enters it. He throws his prisoner to the inner wall and seals the entrance with a boulder. He sits down and meditates. Saxcis, meanwhile, rages.
"Why do you not speak mongrel? Are you shaking in fear? Finally realise your mistake? SAY SOMETHING!!"
He is met with silence.
"I didn't really kill anyone ok? Even the M'hakians kept all their prisoners instead of killing them. Look let's let bygones be bygones, huh?"
Godfrey's breathing hitches in anger but he holds it.
"I swear, I just need some Psionic energy for my ship and I'll be gone. I'm the prince, so I can get you whatever you want once I'm free...DAMN YOU!! YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?"
Godfrey's golden eyes open and he stands. He walks towards Saxcis and speaks.
"So your race utilizes Psionic energy not magic, though it is similar. You decided to cause chaos after presumably being here for a while, meaning your ship must almost be fully charged and functional. You are a prince but do not have any protectors, meaning you are either exiled or illegitimate."
Godfrey picks Saxcis up by his neck and asks menacingly.
"So which is it? Exiled or illegitimate?"
Saxcis panics as he realises that he unintentionally gave information away and slumps down in defeat.
"Exiled.."
Godfrey nods and sets him down.
"I thought as much."
Saxcis frowns and defensively asks.
"What is that supposed to mean huh?"
Godfrey shakes his head as he crosses his arms and closes his eyes. He replies.
"You seemed like you had a lot to prove. It would be idiotic of me to not notice. You presented yourself as a master but threw tantrums like a child. You wield great power, yet you lash out blindly."
Godfrey the clenches his fist.
"Also..."
A large fist descends on Saxcis' face again and again.
*Crack* *Crunch* *Crack*
Over and over, Godfrey delivers brutal blows that fracture Saxcis' skull. Godfrey's face is a picture of malevolent rage.
"YOU DIDN'T KILL ANYONE?! HOW ABOUT ALL THOSE PEOPLE THAT DIED ON THE MARS BASE ATTACK? ARE THEY MEANINGLESS?!"
Godfrey grabs Saxcis by the leg and slams him into the wall.
*THUD*
He grabs Saxcis by the throat and squeezes as he bellows.
"IS IT BECAUSE THEY'RE LOWER CLASS BEINGS THAT THEY CAN BE SO EASILY KILLED? THEN LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT A LOWER CLASS BEING CAN DO!!"
Godfrey loses himself in a rage. He brutalises the exiled prince until he wails in anguish. Saxcis tries to speak in between blows.
"Please...don't kill...me..."
The young man's fist stops. Realisation slowly creeps onto his face. He looks to Saxcis and sees that if he went on any longer, then the exiled prince wouldn't have a face anymore.
Godfrey looks at his hands and they are completely coated in blood.
'No.'
'YES'
'NO. This is not what I stand for!'
'YES! YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU STAND FOR!'
Godfrey's eyes turn cold as lightning pours out of them. His hands clench and summon a lightning axe.
'...who are you?'
'...I AM...'
Mars Wilderness
Ambrose leaps high into the sky while Calanthe zooms across the landscape. Both parents looking for any signs of their son. Blitz zips across mountain ranges but finds nothing.
The dust storm hampers their progress in every way. Try as he might, Blitz cannot find the chamber.
Calanthe looks to the horizon and sees dark clouds like coal with golden lightning spilling forth.
"There! I see his golden lightning. Let's go!"
Ambrose follows her lead as they both rush to Godfrey's location. Blitz closely follows but feels something wrong with the whole situation. His body sends warning signals and his legs try to move away from the lightning. Still he pushes onwards.
'I owe it to the kid. He helped me after all.'
In the cave
Godfrey looks at Saxcis breathing laboriously on the floor. He steps forward with slow heavy steps as if he is fighting for control with his own body.
'Cease!! This evildoer still has to be put on trial'
'BAH! WE CAN DO AWAY WITH THE NICETIES GODFREY. IT'S A LOT SIMPLER THAT WAY.'
'Being a hero isn't simple!!'
'WHAT IS SIMPLE, IS BEING WHO YOU ALWAYS WERE! THE EXECUTIONER!'
'No. I will make sure he is tried and his knowledge benefits mankind. He has a lot to answer for.'
'AND HE WILL! THE ANSWER IS DEATH!'
Godfrey swings his axe in a vicious downwards chop. The axehead stops mere centimetres from Saxcis' head. The sheer terror of it forces Saxcis to enter the land of dreams.
'Do not disobey me!'
'DO NOT RESIST ME!'
Lightning arcs strike out from Godfrey's body. The sheer force destroys the boulder blocking the entrance. Slowly, the axe is lifted up with Titanic effort on Godfrey's part. Somehow, his weapon feels like it is weighing him down.
'I am no longer the god I once was!'
'FOOL! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A GOD.'
'What?'
The distraction proves to be a mistake as the axe descends on Saxcis. Godfrey heaves with all his strength and diverts his blow to the side.
The cave trembles as fissure open on the floor, and fractures spread along the walls.
'HA. LET HIM DIE VIA CRUSHING. LIKE THE CHILDREN.'
For a second, Godfrey stops resisting. However, he grabs Saxcis' leg and throws him out of the cave mouth. The mountain collapses and buries Godfrey in tons of earth and stone.
The search party arrives in time to see an odd serpent like creature get flung out from a mountain cave. In the next instant, the mountain collapses.
Ambrose leaps up and catches the serpent. He looks at it and what he sees shocks him. Its skull is caved inwards and its face no longer have the features of one. Yet still it lives.
He is brought out of his observations as a golden lightning bolt strikes the collapsed mountain and his "son" emerges.
"Godfrey" drops to the ground with a heavy *THUD* and looks to Saxcis. His eyes then pan across his parents, and it stays on Blitz.
Calanthe charges up an explosive blast in her hands as she snarls at "Godfrey".
"Who are you?!"
"Godfrey" sneers as the lightning storm overhead explodes and spreads across the sky as far as the eye can see. He summons a massive Greataxe and replies with a malevolent killing intent.
"I am JUDGEMENT!!"
