With Queen Elicia's permission, Godfrey and Sylphaera tour the entirety of El'hirn. They visit vast waterfalls, Griffon dens, mountain ranges, and subterranean caverns. Of course, instead of using Griffon's to fly to and fro, Sylphaera decides to take advantage of the situation and asked Godfrey to carry her.
However, all good things must come to an end and 4 days pass. His week long vacation has come to an end. Godfrey informs Sylphaera of his choice to forego the academy and become a hero immediately.
Sylphaera simply smiles and congratulates him for his achievement as the youngest hero in history.
They say their goodbyes and Godfrey promises to visit as often as possible. He returns to Earth and his parents await him at the house with some bad news.
"That alien you brought back, Saxcis, has fallen into a coma."
Godfrey clenches his fist in anger, as once again, his anger has had consequences. Ambrose laughs and assures Godfrey.
"Worry not my boy. There are technological components in and around Saxcis' body that would keep our scientists busy for years. We just have to take care not to trigger anything. In fact, the clothing he is wearing is an advanced form of nanotechnology controlled by thought."
Ambrose shows his hero costume underneath his normal clothes.
"If we can have a breakthrough there, then we'd no longer need to change in and out hahahaha. With a thought, we'd be ready for any situation."
Godfrey is slightly located by this and gives a slight smile.
"Very well father. I will not dwell on this."
The family then have a hearty dinner and turn in for the night. As Godfrey lays on his bed, he hardens his resolve and makes a promise.
"It is time to put words into action. To be the best hero I can be."

3 years later

The morning is peaceful. People walk along the street without a care in the world. Hovercars fly unimpeded through the city skyline. Families play and laugh in the parks. It is a peaceful morning indeed.
That is, until a building suddenly comes crashing down onto the street. Then chaos breaks loose.
A massive humanoid foot crushes the fallen building into dust and debris. Chunks of concrete fly through the air towards civilians, threatening to crush them all.
Suddenly, a thick ice wall blocks its path and they harmlessly shatter on it.
A car goes sailing through the air towards a little girl who was separated from her family. She screams and closes her eyes, yet the impact never comes. She opens her eyes and sees a large man in a dark brown costume smiling at her. He places the car down and leaps towards the ongoing battle.
The massive humanoid creature has a singular massive eye and a great big mouth filled with sharp teeth. It has four clawed hands that are currently trying to swat away a large flying man. It misses a blow and the large man capitalizes on it. He summons a massive lightning Greataxe and cleaves off two appendages.
The panicking people slowly settle and cheer as they see the heroes.
"Godfrey is here!!"
"We are saved!! Roderick carry me to safety!"
"Sylphaera let down your hood!!"
The creature screeches in agony as its arms are ripped from its body and black blood pours from its stump. It staggers back from the pain and is unable to see that the road is now frozen. It slips but manages to catch itself. However, it is forcefully brought down as its knee shatters when a large ball of rock crashes into it.
The creature slips on its back and the last thing it sees is a gargantuan lightning spear piercing towards its face. Then, oblivion.
Godfrey dispels his lightning spear as he lands. He looks to the dead creature on the ground that is slowly turning to ash from the power of his strike. He frowns heavily as he thinks of the last few years.
'The attacks have increased in frequency. These creatures have also been becoming stronger. What is happening?'
He is brought out of his thoughts when a large hand lands on his shoulder. Roderick grins as he teases Godfrey.
"Thinking of Sylphaera? Maybe you're thinking about your date tomorrow?"
Godfrey then smiles as he looks to Sylphaera in the distance, who is dispelling her ice. He jokingly punches Roderick on the arm and laughs.
"Lower your voice Roderick! Begone with you, lest she misunderstands. I am to accompany her to a royal ball and bathe in the waters of purification. Nothing more."
Roderick pretends to be hurt and dramatically spins away to help with the cleanup. Sylphaera hears the commotion and locks eyes with Godfrey as she gives him a devastatingly beautiful smile. Godfrey smiles but is captured by his thoughts.
'You look like her but are so different. Yet somehow, my heart feels for you. It is impossible. I have lived for countless millennia. It's not right.'
He snaps back to reality and helps with the cleanup. Godfrey places himself under buildings and lifts the structures in tandem with his electric barrier. The people cheer as Godfrey waves with one hand and lifts buildings with the other.

1 hour later

Godfrey, Sylphaera, and Roderick stand on top of a skyscraper overlooking the damaged area. Godfrey crosses his arms and speaks.
"Are there any casualties?"
Roderick replies.
"None. The alliance did a great job in evacuating the surrounding area. There were only a few people that didn't manage to get out on time, but we managed to keep everyone safe."
Godfrey nods as he gazes upon Roderick and Sylphaera with gratitude.
"Thank you both. I am thankful everyday that you accepted my proposal to form a team after school."
Sylphaera speaks as she grabs Godfrey's hand and squeezes them.
"Thank you for seeing potential in us. I cannot tell you how good it feels to save people next to you and to know that I don't drag you down."
Godfrey and Sylphaera stare deeply into one another's eyes in silence. Roderick awkwardly fiddles with his suit and it retracts into a compartment in his wristband. He breaks the tension by gawking at the new technology.
"Goodness me, this is convenient. Thankfully, we cracked the method! It's a shame that Saxcis' is in a coma though."
Godfrey's expression turns into one of regret as he thinks back to what he did. Sylphaera gives him a smile as she reassures him.
"You have nothing to feel sorry for. That man caused hundreds of deaths and was manipulating our people for 20 years. We gained enough technology to push scientific advancements forward by about 200 years."
Godfrey just nods and laments.
"If only we could find the ship. We could push ourselves forward by at least 1000."
Roderick just scoffs and crosses his arms as he responds.
"Please. They had a hard enough time with small gadgets and implants from Saxcis' body. We have gravity technology that no longer needs magic man. We have thrusters that allow us to fly now. Imagine how long it would take if we had the ship first? It's fine if we don't have it yet. We're just building a foundation for later."
Godfrey smiles at that but quickly loses it as his eyes snap upwards. There, high up in the stratosphere, is a space station rapidly losing altitude. Without hesitation, Godfrey takes to the skies and reaches the space station within seconds.
Sylphaera and Roderick activate their gravity thrusters and fly towards the space station as fast as their thrusters allows them to. Their speed is moderate but they make good progress as Godfrey works on slowing the station down.
He spreads his barrier around the entirety of it and supports its full weight on his shoulders. The station slows and Godfrey almost stops it completely. Sylphaera arrives and encases the station in ice, rapidly snuffing out the fires. She manipulates the ice upwards and slows the station further.
Roderick forces a door open and checks inside. Suddenly, a fist slams into his face and sends him hurtling towards the ground. The force of it creating a thunderclap that resounds through the air.
Godfrey sees Roderick's rapidly distancing figure and shouts out to Sylphaera.
"Sylphaera! Make sure he is alright. I have the station handled!"
Sylphaera nods and shoots after Roderick's rapidly spinning form. She encases him in ice and slows him down. Roderick's eyes snap open and he shouts.
"Godfrey!! Be careful!"
The duo watch as a grotesque humanoid, with festering skin and glowing red eyes, rapidly crawl along the surface of the ice and reach Godfrey. The creature delivers blow upon blow on Godfrey's face that fractures the ice surrounding the station.
Godfrey barely reacts and is about to shock it, but rapid skittering interrupts him. Godfrey looks around and sees dozens of the same creatures crawling along the ice surface.
They all stop around Godfrey and encase their hands in a dark energy. In unison, they throw devastating blows that manage to stun him.
'This dark energy is directly piercing through my barrier! Is it magic?'
A few creatures suddenly branch out and unleash energy blasts from their mouths that manage to push Godfrey's hands away from the station. The space station starts plummeting once more and Godfrey goes to catch it. However, his leg is caught by multiple tentacles.
They pull with a surprising force and unbalances Godfrey enough that the space station lands on his back.
Undeterred, Godfrey unleashes a shockwave of lightning that atomises all the grotesque monstrosities. Sylphaera and Roderick finally arrive and Sylphaera helps by manipulating the ice once more. Godfrey once again gets the station under control and directs it towards a park that is now evacuated.
He places it down as he scans the inside of the vessel.
'One enemy inside.'
Godfrey prepares himself for battle as a thin young man exits the space station. He looks around and whistles at the burnt vessel. With a pep in his step, he walks towards Godfrey with confidence as he introduces himself.
"Ahh the Great Godfrey. Slayer of monsters, the greatest hero, the alien subduer. I am Atten. I have come to give you a message."
Godfrey frowns as his body is supercharged with lightning. He tenses his muscles and prepares for combat as he speaks seriously.
"Speak plain villain! How did you know about the alien? What's your purpose?"
Atten shrugs and replies.
"To give you a message. "It has been a long time coming, but I'm sure you'll enjoy my present. I grant unto you my greatest gift. Something that all great heroes need. Dead parents." And so he says. Orion sends his regards."
Godfrey grips Atten's throat and snarls.
"YOU DARE THREATEN MY PARENTS?!"
Atten glows an ominous red and simply replies.
"Yes."
